    The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon - Season 4“The Tonight Show.” For once, Jimmy Fallon was not the one cracking up through a scene … or at least not as much as the actual star. To be fair, though, it’s hard to stay deadpan with lines like this:

    “When I’m around you I feel like a Zamboni driver at a funeral. You know?”
    “I’ve heard that before.”

    Mad Libs Theater is a regular segment on Fallon’s “Tonight Show,” forcing guests to give him adjectives, nouns, body parts, etc., and then folding them into a scenario they play out live in front of the studio audience.

    Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) and Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey) seem to be having a good time promoting the second movie in the “Fifty Shades” franchise. Yesterday, Jamie Dornan spoofed “Fifty Shades Darker” on “Ellen,” and then he talked to Jimmy Kimmel about his newly shaved head.

    “Fifty Shades Darker” is out next Friday, Feb. 10, and the third film, “Fifty Shades Freed,” is currently scheduled for February 2018.

  • The Past Haunts Christian and Anastasia in New ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Trailer

    Every fairy tale has a dark side, warns the new extended trailer for “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

    The spot debuted last night during the premiere of “The Bachelor” and is set to the smoldering new song “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” by Taylor Swift and Zayn.

    There isn’t a ton of new footage, as previous trailers have shown the steamy shower scene and risque elevator petting. But we get more in-depth looks at the obstacles who seek to disrupt Christian (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia’s (Dakota Johnson) reunion.Two of those obstacles are women from Christian’s past, including a creepy stalker and an older woman (Kim Basinger) who asks Ana, “Do you think you’re the first?” And then there’s Ana’s menacing boss (Eric Johnson) who snarks, “Your boyfriend has a reputation.” Looks like “happily ever after” is going to be a tough task for these two.

    “Fifty Shades Darker” opens in theaters Feb.10.

  • ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Receives R Rating for Graphic Nudity

    Fifty Shades Darker“Fifty Shades Darker” is turning up the heat — but not quite to 11.

    The sequel to the erotic drama “Fifty Shades of Grey” received an R rating from the MPAA for “strong erotic sexual content, some graphic nudity and language.” The movie managed to avoid an NC-17 rating, however.

    The rating falls in line with the first movie, which the MPAA warned contained “strong sexual content including dialogue, some unusual behavior and graphic nudity, and for language.”

    The sequel looks to be just as erotic as the original, judging by the first trailer, which provides a glimpse at a steamy shower sex scene. There’s been some speculation that “Fifty Shades Darker” might feature a full-frontal nude shot of Jamie Dornan’s Christian Grey (co-star Dakota Johnson has already bared all as Anastasia Steele). However, as Jezebel pointed out, male nudity usually gets called out specifically by the MPAA in their ratings.

  • ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Trailer: Christian and Ana’s Romance Gets Hotter

    Fifty Shades Darker“I want you back,” Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) purrs to Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) in the first, full-length trailer for “Fifty Shades Darker.” But this time, it’s Ana who lays down her demands. “No rules. No punishments. And no more secrets.”

    “Fifty Shades of Grey” ended with the breakup between the naive college student and the business mogul with BDSM predilections. The two reunite in the sequel, and their relationship heats up — masquerade balls! romantic sailboat rides! — but it’s tested by figures from Christian’s past.

    Kim Basinger joins the cast as an older woman who seduced Christian as a young man, while Bella Heathcote plays his mentally unstable former submissive. Also on board: Hugh Dancy as psychiatrist Dr. John Flynn, Eric Johnson as Ana’s boss Jack, and Tyler Hoechlin as author Boyce Fox.

    “Fifty Shades Darker” opens in theaters Feb. 10, 2017.

  • Dakota Johnson Explains Herself in This Exclusive ‘A Bigger Splash’ Clip

    'A Bigger Splash' (2016) Explain Yourself

    “A Bigger Splash” follows an unlikely foursome — rockstar Marianne Lane (Tilda Swinton), her boyfriend, Paul (Matthias Schoenaerts), Marianne’s ex, Harry (Ralph Fiennes), and Harry’s daughter, Penelope (Dakota Johnson) — who bump into each other while vacationing on a remote Mediterranean island. It’s not exactly a smooth reunion, though, especially where the seductive Penelope is concerned.

    In this clip, premiering exclusively on Moviefone, Marianne and Harry get reacquainted while Penelope explains to Paul how she came to tag along on Harry’s summer vacation (and how she figured out she was his daughter in the first place). Their conversation gets interrupted, though, when they head for dinner at a funky outdoor restaurant alongside a cliff, and the place is absolutely packed.

    Naturally, Harry wants to use Marianne’s name to get them a reservation (isn’t that what all famous musicians do?), though it doesn’t seem like the unusually quiet Marianne is in the mood to ask for special treatment. It also probably doesn’t help that all the other patrons stop what they’re doing and gawk as Marianne’s group approaches.

    “A Bigger Splash” hits theaters on May 4.

  • Dakota Johnson Drops F-Bomb in Fake Break-Up Call With Darth Vader

    The Force is strong with a woman scorned!

    You never know what you’re going to get when “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and they played “The Acting Game,” which quickly took a dark turn when Dakota dropped an f-bomb on Darth Vader.

    The game involved pretending to answer a phone call, and acting out a scenario. The first scenario, read by Jimmy to Dakota, was, “It’s your fiancé, Darth Vader, calling to tell you he’s leaving you for another woman.” So Jimmy said “ring-ring” and Dakota answered the phone to play out this Vader break-up:

    Dakota: “Hello? Hi, babe. Did you just wake up? Oh. You’re what? Where are you? Who the f–k—?”

    She covered her mouth in apology.

    Jimmy: “Hang up the phone. Hang up the phone. Hang up the phone.”

    The audience cheered. it was actually a pretty realistic break-up call, she just got too Method for a network show.

    Jimmy: “It’s an adult game. It’s an adult game.”

    So Jimmy turned the tables and had Dakota read the scenario.

    Dakota: “I’m gonna say ‘ring-ring’ when I’m done.”

    Jimmy: “Just stick to those words!”

    Haha. But seriously, Vader had that coming. Cheaters never win, man.

  • Rebel Wilson Helps Dakota Johnson With Dating in ‘How to Be Single’ Trailer

    How to Be SingleDating in New York City comes with so many rules, you basically need a guide to get you through it.

    Dakota Johnson finds just such a guide in Rebel Wilson in this trailer for “How to Be Single.” Johnson plays Alice, who’s re-entering the dating scene after a breakup. She gets all sorts of advice from pal Robin (Wilson), like the proper way to text guys, the need for a good wax, and how to quickly recover from a hangover (Pedialyte FTW!).
    The movie — based on a book by Liz Truccillo, who co-wrote “He’s Just Not That Into You” — looks like a fun, flirty, slightly dirty rom-com perfect for Valentine’s Day weekend viewing. And the cast is filled with many of our favorites, from Alison Brie to Damon Wayans Jr. to Leslie Mann.

    “How to Be Single” opens Feb. 12.

  • The ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Sequels Will Shoot Back-to-Back

    Stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are in for some rough filming: According to a new report, the upcoming “Fifty Shades of Grey” sequels will shoot back-to-back.

    TheWrap writes that James Foley (“Glengarry Glen Ross,” “House of Cards”), who’s been secured as a replacement director for the remainder of the series, has elected to shoot both sequels — “Fifty Shades Darker” and “Fifty Shades Freed” — at the same time, back-to-back. Production is scheduled to start sometime next year.

    Foley is stepping in for the departed Sam Taylor-Johnson, who had a tough time helming “Grey,” thanks to the alleged overbearing presence of author E.L. James, who reportedly fought Taylor-Johnson and producers for more creative control throughout the production. James allegedly sought even more say in the sequels, reportedly going so far as to demand to write the screenplays herself; while she lost that particular battle, her husband, Niall Leonard, has been tapped for the role instead, which should give James considerable leeway to insert her vision more directly into the follow-ups.

    According to TheWrap, the plan is to release both “Shades” sequels around the Valentine’s Day holiday, with “Fifty Shades Darker” due in theaters on February 10, 2017, and “Fifty Shades Freed” hitting cinemas on February 9, 2018. And whether or not there is behind-the-scenes drama, it seems studio Universal doesn’t care: With “Grey” scoring a whopping $560 million at the worldwide box office — not to mention the continued international success of the book series — the sequels stand to make quite a bit of cash, too. We imagine audiences will still be whipped into a frenzy regardless of how the flicks are made.

  • Joel Edgerton on Johnny Depp’s ‘Weird’ Transformation in ‘Black Mass’

    The critics aren’t the only ones impressed by Johnny Depp’s performance in “Black Mass.” His costars were in awe of the Oscar-nominated star’s dramatic physical and emotional shift as gangster Whitey Bulger too.

    “Johnny was transformed into Jimmy and then he brought the transformation from the inside,” Joel Edgerton tells Made in Hollywood about starring opposite Depp in the biopic. Describing Depp as his childhood idol, Edgerton adds that it “was kind of like a weird thing” to see such a departure from his usual self.

    Dakota Johnson, who plays Bulger’s girlfriend, agrees. “He’s such a magnetic person anyway that when we’re filming he sort of does morph into a different person. It’s remarkable.”

  • Dakota Johnson Shares ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Update, Gets Sexy New Props

    Dakota Johnson is now trying to promote “Black Mass” with Johnny Depp, but while on the media circuit, she’s fielding questions about the “Fifty Shades of Grey” series. The second movie, “Fifty Shades Darker” — with a script by author E.L. James’s husband Niall Leonard — is scheduled for release February 10, 2017. The third movie, “Fifty Shades Freed,” is scheduled for February 9, 2018.

    Dakota was just on “Ellen,” and it was clear Ellen DeGeneres really just wanted to focus the conversation on “Fifty Shades.” She asked if Dakota was in a relationship (she’s not, she’s single) and Dakota said guys might be “scared” of her after playing Anastasia Steele. But some guys are so not scared that share a little TMI. As Dakota told Ellen:

    Well, sometimes, people just say things that are a little bit awkward for me. Like, I was in a cab recently, and the driver was like, ‘You know, my wife and I, we saw your film…. We really liked it.’ I was like ‘Thank you very much.’ He was like, ‘I thought there could be more sex.’”

    She said she wanted to roll out of the car while it was driving.

    In terms of the second movie, Dakota said they haven’t even started filming it yet. “We start sometime in the new year.” To get her prepared, Ellen gave her a few gifts: a blue flogger, a pair of blue handcuffs, a blue whip, and even a blue blanket with “Ellen’s got me covered” written on it, for when she’s naked on set.
    Classic! Dakota thanked her for the “beautiful” gifts. They are pretty sparkly. Jamie Dornan‘s Christian Grey may appreciate them in the next movies (that cab driver may like them too).
