New ‘Justice League’ Photo Features The Flash Teaming With Batman and Wonder Woman
The Flash slowed down long enough to appear in a new photo from the upcoming team-up flick “Justice League,” and the tense image teases that the latest DC superhero to step into the spotlight will have a lot on his plate in the near future. And that doesn’t even count the villains he will fight alongside the rest of the titular team.Played by Ezra Miller, The Flash (alias: Barry Allen) has made cameo appearances in both “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Suicide Squad.” But when “Justice League” premieres, the hero will get more screen time, and also a bit more than he bargained for when he clashes with the big personalities who have already gotten their due onscreen.

In the new photo, premiered by Entertainment Weekly, The Flash is seen alongside Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), with the trio about to spring into action against an unseen foe. But first, all the heroes in the League will need to figure out how to get along with each other — and that’s especially difficult for The Flash, described by EW as “the league’s overly excitable kid brother who uses humor to mask his pain.”
“Flash is Ringo Starr,” Miller explained to EW, comparing the hero to the goofy, put-upon former Beatle. “He annoys everybody, but he doesn’t have any specific beef with anyone.”
Fans will get to witness firsthand this awkward new dynamic when “Justice League” debuts on November 17, 2017.

The CW’s Four-Way Superhero Crossover Promises to Be ‘Best Team-up Ever’
“Best. Team-up. Ever!” Felicity Smoak is super-stoked about the four-way superhero crossover on The CW.The network released a promo for the event, which ties together its four DC Comics superhero shows: “Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Legends of Tomorrow,” and “Supergirl.” The promo doesn’t show much beyond The Flash (Grant Gustin) introducing Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) — whom he teamed up with in a crossover last season — to his other super friends, Oliver/Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), Firestorm (Victor Garber), Atom (Brandon Routh), and more.
The superheroes will be teaming up to battle the Dominators, an alien race seeking to take out Earth’s meta-humans. The crossover begins Nov. 28 at the very end of a “Supergirl” episode. Then, as that show’s executive producer Marc Guggenheim explained, “The story that’s being told has a beginning, middle and end: It’s a beginning in ‘Flash,’ a middle in ‘Arrow,’ and an end in ‘Legends.’ But Supergirl is very much a part of the whole thing.”Want more stuff like this? The Honest Trailers Narrator Cops to Being a ‘Flash’ Fan
The narrator of Screen Junkies’ Honest Trailers always has a lot of hilarious criticism, but it turns out the guy actually has a lot of good things to say about “The Flash.”The web series’ latest video took a look at the CW superhero series, and it led to the narrator announcing — in surprise, mind you — that he’s actually a “Flash” fan. He may say that the show “combines the most ridiculous stuff in the comics with soap opera drama,” but he realizes that even though the series “really shouldn’t work … it somehow ended up being super fun.” And not just because he thinks the cast is super hot.
No Honest Trailer would be complete without a lot of mocking, of course. “The Flash” gets called out for a number of issues, including the fact that Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh), who mentors Barry (Grant Gustin), is “clearly a bad guy.” Best of all, though, may be Honest Trailers’ take on Barry’s relationship with Iris (Candice Patton). They are, as the narrator points out, “basically related,” and Iris has a penchant for making out with Barry’s romantic rival in front of him. Ouch.
Watch the show’s Honest Trailer below.
“The Flash” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. -
Here Are the Villains of The CW’s DC Superhero Crossover
The CW has revealed the main villains who will face off with DC’s superheroes on the network’s upcoming four-show crossover event, and the event is focusing heavily on characters that have been part of the DC-verse since the 1960s.Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl,” and “Legends of Tomorrow” will throw down with the Dominators, who were first introduced to comics fans back in 1967. Here’s a breakdown of the quirky characters, per a report from Deadline:
“Dominators are members of the alien empire known as the Dominion, a rigid caste society in which social status is denoted by the size of a red circle on one’s forehead. Emotionless and calculating, Dominators are masters of genetic manipulation who seek to enhance their abilities to aid in their conquests. … Notable for tall, lanky frames, yellow skin and sharp teeth and nails, the aliens provide the strangest looking villains yet for [the] shared universe.”
Marc Guggenheim, the executive producer of “Arrow” and “Legends,” explained to TVLine that he’s “taking inspiration from a DC crossover from the late 1980s known as ‘Invasion!,’” and plans to address the villains’ odd appearance through the use of some unique tricks.
“We’re using cutting-edge prosthetics and computer effects to achieve a feature film-quality look, which is faithful to ‘Invasion!’ artist Todd McFarlane’s interpretation of the characters,” Guggenheim told the site.
Fans will get to see the Dominators in action later this season on The CW. “The Flash” premieres on October 4, “Arrow” premieres on October 5, “Supergirl” premieres on October 10, and “Legends of Tomorrow” premieres on October 13.

‘The Flash’ and ‘Supergirl’ Will Stage a Musical Crossover This Season
Crossovers are apparently the new cool thing: After Fox surprised attendees of the Television Critics Association summer press tour earlier this week by announcing an upcoming crossover event between comedies “New Girl” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” The CW announced its own splashy crossover event on Thursday — and it’s going to be super. The two shows in question are CW hit “The Flash” and former CBS series “Supergirl,” which is moving to sister network CW for its sophomore season this fall. Those superhero series previously staged a successful crossover event last year, so it makes sense for The CW to return to that idea. But this time, there’s a big twist: The episodes will be musicals.
“Yes, there will be a musical crossover,” executive producer Greg Berlanti told the TCA crowd. “There’s going to be a musical pair of episodes in the back half of the year between ‘Supergirl’ and ‘Flash.’”
That’s not a lot to go on, but boy, are the possibilities endless. As Entertainment Weekly notes, both shows’ casts boast plenty of musical talent, including “Supergirl” stars Melissa Benoist (a “Glee” alum) and Jeremy Jordan (a Tony nominee for “Newsies”) and “The Flash” stars Grant Gustin (another former “Glee” star) and Jesse L. Martin (a member of the original Broadway cast of “Rent”). Berlanti seemed pretty excited by the prospect, too.
“Some of you may know my own personal love of musicals and actors who have been in them, and we have a number of people who can sing across all the shows who will be making some very exciting appearances in the back half of the year,” Berlanti told reporters.
Sounds like music to our ears. Stay tuned for more details and an airdate for the crossover event.
