Netflix isn’t just for chilling… it’s also for chilling, as in scaring yourself silly. Here are some of the scariest episodes of our favorite shows featuring creepy clowns, headless witches, bloodthirsty ghosts, serial killers, and spooky hitch-hikers.

Many of these work great as standalone eps, such as “Supernatural,” “The X-Files,” and “Bones,” and of course, the classic “Twilight Zone.” Others, like “The Walking Dead,” are better off experienced as a terrifying whole.

You’ve got enough time this Halloween to stream all of these 21 episodes, especially since several might keep you up all night.

  • ‘The Walking Dead’ Dethroned as Most Tweeted About Fall TV Show

Nobody puts Daryl Dixon in the corner! Except maybe “Grey’s Anatomy” … and “Supernatural.” Sorry, dude.

Twitter just revealed the latest stats on what fans are tweeting about when it comes to the Fall 2015 TV season. They noted that 90 percent of the fall premiere conversations out there are about returning shows, rather than new shows. They also revealed that the 21 million tweets (so far) about fall premieres is a 34 percent jump from the amount this time last year.

Speaking of last year, “The Walking Dead” was the 2014 champ, but it was dethroned in 2015, thanks possibly to another dead character: Derek Shepherd.

“Grey’s” topped the 2015 list, even though it was sixth last year, followed by “Supernatural,” which remains the No. 2 bridesmaid it was last year as well. But “The Walking Dead” was pushed down to No. 3, which maybe isn’t that big a surprise since last year there were major questions like “How will they get out of Terminus?” and “Where’s Beth?” and this season there are still questions but not as many pressing cliffhangers.

In terms of new shows, “American Horror Story: Hotel” topped the list, followed by “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” “Scream Queens,” “Heroes Reborn” and “Supergirl.” Check out Twitter’s cool infographic below, with all the numbers:

Any big surprises on the list, from your perspective?

  • Watch ‘Supernatural’ Star Jensen Ackles Sing ‘Simple Man’ at VanCon

jensen ackles, supernatural, simple man“Supernatural” star Jensen Ackles has never met a classic rock cover he didn’t like, and the actor continued his penchant for performing past hits this weekend while playing a Lynyrd Skynyrd song.

Ackles busted out the tune during a performance at VanCon — a “Supernatural”-themed fan convention held in Vancouver, Canada — on Saturday night, taking lead vocals and strumming an acoustic guitar as he sang “Simple Man.” His raspy vocals fit the song perfectly, and the crowd clearly loved it, screaming as he took the stage and cheering throughout the performance.

As Entertainment Weekly notes, Ackles has performed another Skynyrd classic, “Sweet Home Alabama,” publicly in the past, and a quick YouTube search of “Jensen Ackles singing” turns up plenty of results. (There’s one way to liven up your Monday afternoon.)

Check out video of Ackles’s hard-rocking performance below (which also features “Supernatural” cast members Mark Sheppard on drums and Richard Speight Jr. on bass). Where can we book our tickets for the next con?

  • ‘Supernatural’ Star Misha Collins Reportedly Mugged, Hides Injuries in Fan Photos

“Supernatural” strength for his fans over the weekend after he was reportedly the victim of a mugging in Minneapolis.

According to various reports, Misha was robbed and physically attacked on Friday when he was in Minnesota for MinnConn. The news came from other convention attendees and speakers, including Richard Speight Jr., who referenced how “a lesser man would have stayed home based on vanity” but Misha still took photos “with a busted face” because he loves the fans so much and didn’t want to let them down. The actor himself played down his injuries in a single tweet on the incident.

Check out the social media rundown of what happened, with awe for Misha that he still took photos and signed autographs with fans after being attacked:

It’s awful to be victimized like this, but at least Misha has a supportive team of friends and fans behind him. Heal fast!

dean supernatural Oh, “Supernatural” fans. They’re been through so much, guys. The CW series has been kickin’ since 2005, but if the fervor keeps up the way it goes now, we’re thinking this show could live forever. “Supernatural” fans are pretty much unstoppable. Here are 8 reasons why they totally rule.

  • SDCC 2015: ‘Supernatural’ Fans Raise Candles to Support Jared Padalecki

“Supernatural” had a very touching human moment during its Comic-Con 2015 panel in San Diego.

Once the moderators opened the floor to fan questions, the audience held up faux candles in unison. The cast didn’t know what was happening, but the audience called out, “Always keep fighting,” in reference to Jared Padalecki’s campaign to support people, like himself, who have struggled with depression. Jared shared the photo shown above on Twitter during the panel, and addressed the candle-holders, saying, “This is so touching and humbling and honoring … I don’t have the proper words to say thank you or how humbled and honored and excited I am and keep it up, guys. Thank y’all so much.”

In March, Jared talked to Variety about his depression, and why he launched his T-shirt campaign to “Always Keep Fighting.”

    As he told Variety:

I, for a long time, have been passionate about people dealing with mental illness and struggling with depression, or addiction, or having suicidal thoughts and, strangely enough, it’s almost like the life I live, as well. These characters that we play on “Supernatural,” Sam and Dean, are always dealing with something greater than themselves, and I’ve sort of learned from the two of them that they get through it with each other, and with help and with support. And I, in the past, have had my own struggles of not [being] so happy with where I am in life, which is strange and I think it goes to show. … Maybe a lot of people don’t know this, but Season 3, we were shooting an episode, and I went back to my trailer to get changed and just kind of broke down.

A doctor came to set and talked to me for about 30 minutes or 45 minutes and said: “Jared, I think you’re clinically depressed. I think I should write you a note and we can shut down production for five days and then we can take it from there.” And it kind of hit me like a sack of bricks. I mean, I was 25 years old. I had my own TV show. I had dogs that I loved and tons of friends and I was getting adoration from fans and I was happy with my work, but I couldn’t figure out what it was; it doesn’t always make sense is my point. It’s not just people who can’t find a job, or can’t fit in in society that struggle with depression sometimes.

Luckily, two of my great friends, Jensen who everybody knows very well, and my friend Kelly who I work with, came to my trailer to check in on me and talked to me for probably an hour or so and then, I was like, “All right guys, I’m going through a tough time right now. I don’t know what it is, but I’m just going to keep my legs moving. I’m going to keep fighting.” They let me go that day. They were like, “Hey buddy, go home. Call your family, and you’re off work. Come back to work tomorrow.”

I say constantly that there’s no shame in dealing with these things. There’s no shame in having to fight every day, but fighting every day, and presumably, if you’re still alive to hear these words or read this interview, then you are winning your war. You’re here. You might not win every battle. There are going to be some really tough days. There might be several tough times in any given single day, but hopefully, this will help somebody to think, “This isn’t easy; it is a fight, but I’m going to keep fighting,” and that’s why we did this shirt.”

Beautiful. Good for him — and good for his friends and SPN Family for stepping in with support!

“Supernatural” Season 11 will premiere Wednesday, October 7. Additional reporting by Jessica Wedemeyer.
