Prince Charming is embroiled in a “Lost”-like mystery.

Josh Dallas has himself a new show, after completing the final season of “Once Upon a Time” for ABC. Now he’s part of NBC’s missing plane drama “Manifest,” and you can watch the “first act” of the new show — basically the first nine minutes — before the September premiere:

“In 2013, Flight 828 disappeared. Today, it came home.”

    https://twitter.com/NBCManifest/status/1034425368348844032

The plan apparently disappeared from radar during flight, only to reappear five years later after being presumed lost at sea. No time has passed for the passengers, but five years has gone by for everyone else, including their loved ones.

When the series was first announced in February, Deadline said it would follow the characters’ personal lives as well as the larger mystery “and purpose that is their destiny.”

Josh Dallas plays Ben Stone, described by Deadline as the “quintessential type-A father and intelligence analyst, Ben struggles against what he can’t control — whether it’s his son’s rare pediatric cancer or the mysterious voice that’s now inside his head.”

“Valor” star Melissa Roxburgh plays the co-lead of Michaela Stone, sister of Dallas’ Ben Stone. “Wracked with guilt over a tragic accident, Michaela anguishes about whether she’s fit to be a police officer and fiancée. When she mysteriously returns years later after being missing, she finds her life with a strange new purpose.”

“Manifest” premieres Monday, September 24 on NBC.

  • ‘Once Upon a Time’ Series Finale to Bring Back Emma, Snow White, Prince Charming

“Once Upon a Time” is ending happily ever after.

When ABC’s fairytale drama ends after seven seasons on May 18, it’ll say goodbye with the original cast members. Showrunners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis announced today that Jennifer Morrison (Emma), Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White), Josh Dallas (Prince Charming) and Emilie de Ravin (Belle) will all appear in the two-night series finale.

They join a lineup of already-announced familiar faces returning for the finale, including Jared Gilmore (young Henry) and Sean Maguire (Robin Hood).

Morrison, Goodwin, and the others departed “OUAT” at the end of last season. Season 7 then rebooted the show, centering it on an older version of Henry (Andrew J. West) and remaining stars Lana Parrilla (Regina), Robert Carlyle (Rumplestiltskin), and Colin O’Donoghue (Captain Hook).

Now, the whole gang will be reunited to close the book on “OUAT.”

“Seven years after we set off on this magical journey, we prepare to say goodbye to the cast, crew and writers that made the ‘happily ever after’ that is ‘Once Upon a Time’ possible. We couldn’t think of a more fitting way to say farewell than by reuniting so many of the characters that our fiercely loyal fans spent years with on their adventures,” Kitsis and Horowitz said in a statement.

“We hope everyone joins our ‘Once’ family, old and new, for what we hope will be the sendoff of a lifetime befitting this stellar cast and its incomparable fans.”

  • Robin Hood and Other Familiar Faces Returning For Final ‘Once Upon a Time’ Episodes

ONCE UPON A TIME - "Dreamcatcher" - In Camelot, as Mary Margaret and David attempt to retrieve the Dark One dagger, Emma uses a dreamcatcher to look into the past to see how Merlin was transformed into a tree. Together, Emma and Regina figure out the critical ingredient they must acquire to free Merlin, but it's a race against Arthur, who does not want Merlin released. Meanwhile, with encouragement from his moms, Henry musters up the courage to ask Violet on a date. Back in Storybrooke, the heroes break into Emma's house hoping to locate Gold, but what they find will give them a glimpse of Emma's end game. Far from prying eyes, Merida sets about the mission Emma has tasked her with and begins molding Gold into the hero they need to draw Excalibur, on "Once Upon a Time," SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/Dean Buscher)SEAN MAGUIRE, COLIN O'DONOGHUEWhen the story book closes on “Once Upon a Time,” it’ll be one big, happy family reunion.

ABC revealed on the show’s Facebook page that quite a few familiar faces will be returning in one or both of the final two episodes of the fairytale drama. They include: Sean Maguire (Robin Hood), Robbie Kay (Peter Pan), Joanna Garcia (Ariel), Victoria Smurfit (Cruella De Vil), Tony Amendola (Marco), Lee Arenberg (Leroy), and Keegan Tracy (Mother Superior).

It was previously announced that Jared Gilmore (Henry Mills) and Bev Elliott (Granny Lucas) would appear when the series takes a bow after seven seasons.

Last month, when ABC announced “OUAT” was ending, showrunners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis teased that characters from the past would show up in the finale.

Last year’s Season 6 finale finished the tale of Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas). This season introduced an older Henry Mills (Andrew West) as well as new characters and new setting.

“We are not trying to replicate what we did last year. We feel like that was a perfect ender to that book,” Kitsis told Entertainment Weekly.

“We think we are going to wrap up the threads that we have introduced this year, and hopefully give people a big ‘Once’ finale sendoff in the grand traditions of when we do alternate world endings.”

“Once Upon a Time” airs Fridays at 8 p.m. on ABC.

  • ‘Once Upon a Time’ Season 7 Set to Conclude Series

The “Once Upon a Time” fairy tale is coming to an end.

ABC has decided to cancel the series, Variety reports. The show’s co-creators, Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, discussed the bad news with the publication, sharing that they’re disappointed but glad that the show lasted for seven seasons.

“When we premiered, we premiered against the World Series and football and we were literally every critic’s first pick to be canceled,” Kitsis said. “So the fact that we are now 156 episodes later, I feel like we have nothing to complain about. We have had a great run.”

When Season 7 kicked off, Kitsis and Horowitz knew “Once Upon a Time” might only last one more season given the major overhaul they’d done after Season 6. In fact, they prepared for ABC to opt against renewing the show. (A move to Fridays is never ideal.)

“We knew this was a distinct possibility from the moment the season started,” Horowitz said. “So it has always sort of been in the back of our minds designing things to wrap up the end of this year if need be.”

There are still eight more episodes to go before the series ends, and the co-creators promised they’ll bring surprises. When asked whether or not any original characters will return, however, they noted that they didn’t want to redo what they already did.

“There’s a chance that a few familiar faces from the original will be back, but we are very conscious of not wanting to take away the happy endings we gave last year,” Kitsis told Variety.

Fans will have to contend with more goodbyes, but they can at least know that they have been very much appreciated. Horowitz tweeted about ending the series on Tuesday and was sure to thank the loyal fan base.

“Their fierce loyalty and devotion was the real magic behind ONCE UPON A TIME,” he wrote in part.

“Once Upon a Time” returns on March 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

  • ‘Once Upon a Time’ Season 7 Comic-Con Trailer Opens a New Book

A new story is soon to come a-knocking.

ABC unveiled the latest “Once Upon a Time” Season 7 preview at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, offering a glimpse into the show’s new book. The trailer first visits the past and Henry Mills’s beginnings, and then it swaps out the young character (Jared Gilmore) with the adult version of him. Older Henry (Andrew J. West) immediately gets a surprise when a girl named Lucy (Alison Fernandez) arrives on his doorstep claiming that she’s his daughter and his family needs help.

We don’t know what trouble has befallen them yet, but the trailer does promise a new curse. The story will feature Cinderella (Dania Ramirez), wicked stepmother Lady Tremaine (Gabrielle Anwar), and wicked stepsister Drizella (Adelaide Kane), along with Tiana (Mekia Cox), Alice (Rose Reynolds), and more.

The struggle to reach happily ever after begins again when “Once Upon a Time” returns on Friday, Oct. 6.

Ultimately, Fiona will have to make a decision that will change the course of both their lives forever. Meanwhile in Storybrooke, Rumple faces a similar delimna, on "Once Upon a Time," SUNDAY, APRIL 30 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. (ABC/Jack Rowand)JENNIFER MORRISON, LANA PARRILLA, EMILIE DE RAVIN, ROBERT CARLYLEThe storybook isn’t closed on “Once Upon a Time,” though the cast of characters will be changing.

ABC has renewed the fairy tale drama for a seventh season, which will see a major “reset” of the show. Star Jennifer Morrison already announced she isn’t returning as Emma Swan for season 7, and now, more regulars are departing the show.

Creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz revealed in a statement that Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White), Josh Dallas (Prince Charming), Jared Gilmore (Henry), Emilie de Ravin (Belle), and Rebecca Mader (Zelena) will not be returning.

Season 7 will reportedly focus on Lana Parrilla’s Regina, Robert Carlyle’s Rumplestiltskin, Colin O’Donoghue’s Captain Hook (who married Emma in last week’s episode), and two new characters played by Andrew J. West (“The Walking Dead”) and 11-year-old Allison Fernandez (“Jane the Virgin”). They will be introduced in Sunday’s two-hour Season 6 finale.

Here’s Mader’s farewell note to “OUAT” fans.

To my Darling Pretties, First of all I would like to start by congratulating Adam, Eddie, Lana, Bobby and Colin on the pick up of Once Upon A Time! I am truly happy for you all and most importantly for the fans that will get to keep tuning in each week to see where they will take us. A lot of you have been asking if I will be joining everyone in Season 7, so I wanted to let you know personally that unfortunately I am not. This wasn’t my choice but a creative decision of the shows that I totally respect and understand. The most important thing is that you all know how much you mean to me. I am told frequently both online and in person that by being a part of such a special show I have in some way changed someone’s life. This is hugely meaningful to me. I am here to let you know that I am the one who has been changed. Not just by playing such a well written multi-dimensional character but by the fandom itself. I have heard your stories, your pain, your struggles, your achievements and I have truly felt you. I have learned. I have grown. I am a better person because of you, the fans and everyone that blessed me with this opportunity to play such an iconic role. Congrats all and thank you! I look forward to the next. I invite you to come with me on this journey. I am forever changed. And I’m wicked. And Wicked Always Wins. Forever yours, Bex ????

In this sneak peek from TV Line, things are looking dire for the good captain, who cheekily offers buried treasure and rum in exchange for peace.

  • ‘Once Upon a Time’ Confirms Season 6 Musical Episode

LANA PARRILLA, JENNIFER MORRISONWhile Once Upon a Time” was working on a musical episode, at the time, showrunners and ABC declined to comment. Now, though, cast and crew members have finally confirmed that the event is indeed happening, and is slated to air sometime later this season.

The news was officially announced during an appearance by the “Once” team at the Atlanta TV Festival, which took place this past weekend at the Savannah College of Art and Design. A panel discussion featuring stars Jennifer Morrison (Emma) and Colin O’Donoghue (Hook) and show creators and executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis offered more details about the installment, which is set to start production soon and will feature most of the cast showing off their singing voices (and singing entirely original songs).

“We are really, really excited to do it,” O’Donoghue told the crowd. “Out of any show, I think ‘Once’ is the type of show that you can really embrace doing a musical episode and make it as musical-esque as you can.”

Morrison added that it was especially appropriate for “Once” to stage a musical episode, since “most of the cast comes from some kind of musical background.” And the opportunity to take the innovative series in a new direction is also an exciting one, the actress added.

” … [W]e’ve been doing this for six years now, so it’s fun to have something completely new to look forward to,” Morrison said.

Fans are no doubt excited, too. There’s no word yet on when the episode will air. Stay tuned.
