    GLOW“GLOW” Season 2 is ready to put Zoya the Destroya and Liberty Belle back in the ring.

    Netflix’s Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling is now filming Season 2. Alison Brie — who stars as Ruth Wilder, aka Russian diva Zoya — shared the first set photo, possibly from the hair/makeup trailer, alongside Betty Gilpin as Debbie Eagan/Liberty Belle. Zoya’s hair and makeup seem done, but she’s not in full costume yet, unlike American diva Liberty.

    The 1980s-set pro wrestling dramedy co-stars Marc Maron, Sydelle Noel, Britney Young, Jackie Tohn, Kate Nash, Britt Baron, and Rich Sommer. Netflix dropped the 10 episodes of its first season in June. The show was renewed for Season 2, but the release date for the next 10 episodes has yet to be revealed.

  • ‘GLOW’ Renewed for Season 2, Bringing Us Back Into the Ring

    GLOW“GLOW” is ready for another round.

    Netflix is bringing the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling back for Season 2. The streamer announced the renewal Thursday, giving fans much-anticipated news. The second season will presumably give us more of our favorite misfit wrestlers, not to mention their hilarious drama, both in and out of the ring.

    The first season of “GLOW” debuted June 23 on Netflix with 10 episodes. Centering on Ruth Wilder (Alison Brie), the series follows a ragtag group of actresses literally fighting to snag spots of a women’s wrestling TV show, and then training for their roles. The series was inspired by a real-life ’80s series.

    At this point, the cast of Season 2 hasn’t been revealed, but we hope to see more of Ruth, Debbie (Betty Gilpin), and Sam (Marc Maron), among others. Wherever the story goes, we can expect more flash and sparkle, at least if the announcement is any indication.

    So far, no release date has been revealed.

    The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling are ready to rumble.

    Netflix released a new trailer Monday for “GLOW,” its upcoming comedy-drama starring Alison Brie. The preview introduces her character, Ruth, and the other unconventional women who will be at the center of the ring — complete with teased hair, bright leotards, and legwarmers aplenty.

    Set in the ’80s, the series follows Ruth, a struggling actress, as she joins a women’s professional wrestling circuit as a way to get in front of the camera. As the trailer shows, the Gorgeous Ladies are supposed to put on a unique show. To entertain, they take on specific (and often stereotypical) characters and build storylines, led by Sam (Marc Maron), a has-been movie director with a drug problem. Of course, the power struggles aren’t just in front of the camera; Ruth finds a rival in Debbie (Betty Gilpin), an actress trying to make her comeback.

    Set for 10 episodes, “GLOW” premieres June 23 on Netflix.
