  • New ‘Game of Thrones’ Set Videos Spoil Big Reunion, Character’s Return

Game of ThronesWinter is coming, and so are more “Game of Thrones” season 7 spoilers.

Photos and videos from the HBO drama’s sets in Spain have been leaking for a couple of weeks and have already shown us a much-anticipated meeting between two lead characters and the emergence of a long-lost character. Now, new production images spoil the reunion of two characters who last saw each other in the pilot.

    SPOILERS AHEAD!

In this video posted by Agriturismo Santa Klara, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) comes face to face with Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen). And their reunion is not sweet:

Although we can’t hear their dialogue, it’s safe to assume that Jon is still pissed that Theon betrayed the Starks, which led to the disappearance of his younger brothers, Bran and Rickon (and now the latter is dead). Theon tried to make up for it a little by helping Jon’s sister, Sansa, escape, but clearly, some hard feelings remain. Here’s a better look:

Theon appears to be arriving at Dragonstone, where Jon has his huge inroduction to Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). But where is he coming from? And why isn’t his sister, Yara, with him?

Other set photos show the return of Iain Glen’s Jorah Mormont. In season 6, Daenerys dismissed him from her service to find a cure for his greyscale. Does his presence indicate Jorah found the cure?

Perhaps not, though. What’s most interesting is that Jorah appears to be taking his leave of his queen — along with Jon, Davos Seaworth, and … Gendry! Where is this motley crew heading? Could Jon and Davos be returning north and taking Jorah back to Bear Island, currently ruled by his young cousin, Lady Lyanna Mormont?

We’ll find out when “Game of Thrones” season 7 airs sometime this summer.

  • ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Spoiler: Two Characters Have Huge Meeting

Game of ThronesAt the end of “Game of Thrones” season 6, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) finally set sail to Westeros in a bid to gain what she believes is her rightful Iron Throne. So, it’s no surprise that she would come across other major characters, but new season 7 spoiler photos and video from filming in Spain show a long-anticipated meeting that should gives fans major hype.

SPOILERS AHEAD … NO, REALLY — HUGE SPOILERS AHEAD.

Daenerys is going to meet Jon Snow (Kit Harington)! Yes, the Breaker of Chains, Mother of Dragons, and Khaleesi will meet the new King in the North. And her (unbeknownst to them) nephew.

Their meeting always seemed in the cards. Daenerys needs allies against Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) and she’s already got some Iron Born, Dorne, and The Reach on her side. Gaining the North’s support would be a huge boost to her claim to the Iron Throne.

Meanwhile, Jon needs allies, too, to fight the white walkers. Those fiery dragons would be VERY helpful.

The video and photos show the two meeting alone on a windy wall overlooking the sea. Fans have speculated this location could be Dragonstone, once home to the Targaryens and then taken over by the Baratheons.

We’ve already seen spoiler images of Daenerys’s Hand of the Queen, Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), meeting with Jon’s right-hand advisor, Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham), so it was only a matter of time before their leaders came face to face. They’ll have a lot to talk about!

“Game of Thrones” season 7 is set to air sometime next summer.

  • ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Spoiler: Long-Lost Character Spotted Filming in Spain

Game of Thrones“Game of Thrones” season 7 is currently filming in Northern Ireland and Spain, which means hints, clues, and outright spoilers are starting to leak out. And the latest one is going to make fans get VERY hype.

    MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD, DUH …

So, last month, actor Joe Dempsie was spotted at the Belfast airport. This caused a lot of excitement since his character, Gendry, has not been seen since the season 3 finale when he rowed away in a boat. Fans and even the showrunners have been joking about Gendry’s whereabouts ever since — still rowing!

Well, he’s apparently going to be rowing just a little more. The Spanish news outlet Los Siete Reinos reported on two different scenes involving Gendry, Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), and Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham). In the first scene, the three men land on a shore in a boat.

The second scene was captured on camera and shows the three men trying to depart in a rowboat. They are approached by two soldiers wearing gold cloaks, who seemingly threaten them. At that point, Gendry pulls out Warhammer — the weapon his father, Robert Baratheon, used to kill Prince Rhaegar Targaryen — and strikes down the soldiers!
    So many thoughts (and questions):

    • Tyrion and Davos being together indicate that their leaders, Daenerys and Jon Snoware perhaps considering an alliance — or at least talking.
    • Their relationship must be awkward, since Tyrion essentially killed Davos’ sons at the Battle of Blackwater.
    • Will Tyrion come face to face with his former wife, Sansa?
    • The filming location hints that the men are on Dragonstone — the very place Gendry rowed away from in season 3.
    • How did Gendry get Warhammer?
    • Now that Arya is back in Westeros and presumably on her way back North, does this pave a path to a reunion with Gendry?

All we know is season 7 feels very, very far away.

  • Could Robb Stark Return to ‘Game of Thrones’? Richard Madden Addresses Fan Theory

'I Medici' Red Carpet In FloreceDead characters don’t always stay that way on HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” so it’s no wonder fans have cooked up a way for Robb Stark (Richard Madden) to return to the fantasy drama series.

*Be warned: There are possible spoilers ahead.*

There have been no signs of Robb’s return after he was brutally killed off in Season 3, but a popular fan theory suggests that he could. The theory — which Madden recently responded to in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter — is based on George R.R. Martin’s series “A Song of Ice and Fire.” In the books, a resurrected Lady Catelyn Stark takes her revenge on those who wronged her and her family, earning the nickname “Lady Stoneheart.” The fan theory predicts that Robb will come back instead.

If you’re hoping to see it happen, you may need to reconcile yourself now to the fact that Robb is truly and permanently dead. When asked about the possible storyline, he told THR that it wasn’t in the works as far as he knew.

“I’ve not heard anything, of course,” he said. “I suppose I wouldn’t have the phone call, because they’re very secretive about everything.”

Either way, he seemed wary of a return and didn’t give a definite “yes” when asked if he’d want to come back. His reasoning is fair, though: Robb’s story was already wrapped up well.

“Robb Stark had such a great storyline, three seasons where he had this great start, middle and end to his character, and it set up such a great purpose to the show up to that point,” he said.

None of this sounds like it bodes well for a return, but all hope isn’t lost: Madden admitted that the actors do lie about plot developments to keep the show’s secrets. Anything’s possible.

  • New ‘Game of Thrones’ Set Photos Hint at Stark Family Reunion

Game of ThronesThe wolves may yet get their revenge.

“Game of Thrones” season 7 is currently filming, and multiple cast members have been spotted in Northern Ireland, including Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Gwendoline Christie (Brienne), and Bella Ramsay (Lyanna Mormont). Also seen on set is Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark. And what’s more interesting is that Arya’s got a new, decidedly Northern-looking outfit.

Not only that, her on-screen brother, Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran Stark), was in the same hair and makeup trailer as Williams, though he was not in costume:

Arya’s new look hints at her moving North to reunite with her family at Winterfell. Jon and Sansa (Sophie Turner) re-captured their family castle from the odious Ramsay Bolton. Jon’s been declared King of the North, so it’s an opportune time for Arya to seek safety with her half-brother (actually cousin) and sister. And perhaps her new assassin skills will be helpful to the Starks as they continue to battle the Lannisters and the oncoming white walkers.

As for Bran, he was last seen north of the Wall, so it’s unlikely he’ll reunite with his siblings anytime soon. But we can hope for the future. Starks forever!

“Game of Thrones” season 7 is set to return sometime next summer.

  • Emilia Clarke Teases Dragon Action in Windy ‘Game of Thrones’ Set Video

Emilia Clarke is once again giving “Game of Thrones” fans a look at the show’s behind the scenes action with a sneak peek on social media, sharing a video from the (extremely windy) set in Northern Ireland.

Clarke braved the strong gusts of wind to post a quick — and loud — Instagram video update from atop a hill, admitting that the 50 mph elements were enough to knock her over. As she’s known for, the actress added in some wordy hashtags to explain more about her post, and noted in one tag that a “bit of tail wind does [nicely] on a dragon ride though.”

This is the second time in recent days that Clarke has teased her character’s connection to dragons, and makes us excited to see what she and they have in store for us in season seven. As the actress and other “Thrones” cast members have mentioned over the past few months, the next season of the show is shaping up to be even more epic than the last, with Clarke calling it “ridiculous,” and offering up the vague tease, “Just you wait for THIS one.”

We really can’t. Is it next year yet?

  • HBO Wants to Make a ‘Game of Thrones’ Spinoff

HBO is having a hard time dealing with the impending end of hit fantasy series “Game of Thrones,” which is set to wrap its critically-acclaimed run after two more shortened seasons. But is there hope that a sequel, prequel, or spinoff series could happen sometime in the future?

The answer is a resounding yes, though new HBO president of programming, Casey Bloys, cautions that there’s nothing official in the works just yet. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Bloys noted that he was optimistic about the future of the “Thrones” brand, but was finding it hard to say goodbye to the current show, which is his main focus right now.

“There are things that sound interesting, but at this point, we have no writers assigned or anything like that,” the exec told THR. “In a perfect world, ‘Game of Thrones’ would keep going, and we wouldn’t have to deal with any of this!”

But it’s not a perfect world, and “Thrones” is due to end after season eight airs in 2018. And even though series creators and showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss told THR that they would be done with George R.R. Martin’s world once the show wraps, they were confident that “there will be other series set in Westeros.” That’s what HBO hopes, too.

“There are so many properties and areas to go to,” Bloys told THR. “For us, it’s about finding the right take with the right writer.”

    We’ll keep our fingers crossed.

  • Emilia Clarke Shares ‘Game of Thrones’ Set Photo, Season 7 Tease

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard all the recent talk from the “Game of Thrones” cast and crew about the epic nature of season seven of the HBO fantasy series. Well, Emilia Clarke is here once again to tease you with even more promises about the upcoming episodes, and this time, she’s brought along a couple of her costars, too.

In a post on Instagram, Clarke shared a selfie featuring her castmates Nathalie Emmanuel (who plays the Khaleesi’s right-hand woman, Missandei) and Raleigh Ritchie (who plays Unsullied warrior Grey Worm), all three posing with goofy, snarly grins (meant to be “dragon teeth,” according to Clarke’s caption).

According to Clarke’s hashtags (which are notoriously long and a bit hard to read, though usually quite informative if you take the time to sort through them), the trio is suggesting that you shouldn’t mess with people who have dragons — and we tend to agree with that assessment. Clarke then added in a brief teaser about the excitement fans can expect in season seven, writing in another hashtag, “Just you wait for THIS one, ohhhh maaannn.”

That echoes previous comments Clarke made when addressing the new episodes, promising in a recent interview that season seven would be “ridiculous.” We hope that means lots more dragon action is on the way.

The new episodes are set to premiere sometime next summer.

  • ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Spoiler: Are the Greyjoys in Trouble?

Game of Thrones“Game of Thrones” season 7 has begun filming, but as usual, not much is known about storylines or new characters (aside from the casting of Jim Broadbent in a “significant” role). But now comes the first spoiler of the season, from Watchers on the Wall, and it spells trouble for the Greyjoys.

The site says that filming this week centered on a major sea battle between Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan) and her murderous uncle, Euron (Pilou Asbæk). Furthermore, “It appears that their uncle Euron is catching up to the siblings and will capture one of them.”

If it’s Theon (Alfie Allen) … oofa. Poor guy has already gone through one terrible captivity at the hands of Ramsay Bolton (currently sitting in hell).

Euron seems to be gaining quite the upper hand. Watchers on the Wall has also heard he teams up with Cersei (Lena Headey), which makes sense, as she needs naval power to fight Greyjoy fleet under the command of Daenerys (Emilia Clarke). And Euron initially wanted to marry Daenerys, but hey, if he can’t get one queen, he’ll take another.

“Game of Thrones” season 7 is expected to premiere on HBO in summer 2017.

  • Angela Lansbury Rumored to Join ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 (Update: Not True)

    US-ENTERTAINMENT-CINEMA-BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
UPDATE: So, the rumor that Angela Lansbury was cast in season 7 of “Game of Thrones” is NOT TRUE. Entertainment Weekly confirmed with the actress’s reps that she is not appearing in the upcoming season, which recently started filming.

Still, it would’ve been really cool to see Jessica Fletcher in Westeros.

    ORIGINAL STORY:

Murder, she wrote — would be a great subtitle for “Game of Thrones.” So, it would be incredibly apt casting for Angela Lansbury to join season 7 of the HBO drama.

That’s the rumor lighting up the internet thanks to German site Bild, which claims the 90-year-old actress has a “minor cameo role” in two episodes next season.

Lansbury is a veteran actress with numerous TV and movie credits over seven decades, including “Murder, She Wrote,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Bedknobs and Broomsticks,” “The Manchurian Candidate,” and “National Velvet.”

She would be the second high-profile British actor to join “Game of Thrones” season, after Jim Broadbent. The report indicated she would be on set for just four days; filming has begun and cast members have been seen in Belfast.

Since the show has outpaced George R.R. Martin’s books, it’s impossible to say which character she might play. It might be someone from the books (Slashfilm speculated she could play an older version of Maggy the Frog, the fortune teller who foresaw that Cersei’s children would die). It might be a completely invented person. And in any case, this is just a rumor. We’ll have to wait and see if Jessica Fletcher does bring her crime-solving skills to Westeros.
