The narrator of Screen Junkies’ Honest Trailers always has a lot of hilarious criticism, but it turns out the guy actually has a lot of good things to say about “The Flash.”
The web series’ latest video took a look at the CW superhero series, and it led to the narrator announcing — in surprise, mind you — that he’s actually a “Flash” fan. He may say that the show “combines the most ridiculous stuff in the comics with soap opera drama,” but he realizes that even though the series “really shouldn’t work … it somehow ended up being super fun.” And not just because he thinks the cast is super hot.
No Honest Trailer would be complete without a lot of mocking, of course. “The Flash” gets called out for a number of issues, including the fact that Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh), who mentors Barry (Grant Gustin), is “clearly a bad guy.” Best of all, though, may be Honest Trailers’ take on Barry’s relationship with Iris (Candice Patton). They are, as the narrator points out, “basically related,” and Iris has a penchant for making out with Barry’s romantic rival in front of him. Ouch.
