The film’s trailer suggested we’d get Ridley Scott’s great return to the "Alien" universe with this much-anticipated prequel. Instead, to quote the trailer, "we were so, so wrong." Because what we got was an expensive, intermittently-engaging misfire at war with being an "Alien" prequel and it’s own thing.
