Character actress Edelstein came to the attention of the "House" producers via her brief but splashy role in the pilot episode of "The West Wing," and they hired the then-38-year-old to play Dr. Cuddy, House’s boss and sometime love interest. After she left the show at the end of Season 7 in 2011, she appeared in guest spots on "Elementary" and "Scandal" and had recurring roles on "The Good Wife and "Castle." Since 2014, Edelstein, now 49, has starred on Bravo’s "Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce."
