Most of the credit for the sci-fi saga properly belongs to show-runners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. But Executive Producer Abrams was there from the beginning, directing one of the best TV pilots ever — if not the best.
The action-packed, flashback-filled, often poignant saga of the castaways on a mysterious island, "Lost" arguably changed the way we watch television, with one hand on the pause button (what did we just see?) and the other on our keyboards (to argue over the Internet about "What It All Means").
