An alien who loves Elvis and surfing was a hard sell in 2002, but thankfully “Lilo & Stitch” has developed a strong legion of fans who rightfully appreciate it as a gem in Disney’s 2D animation crown. Strong enough to eventually spawn two-direct-to-video sequels, a TV series and even a Japanese anime remake.
