7. ‘Die Hard With a Vengeance’

1995 saw the release of the last good “Die Hard” sequel. This entry was more ambitious than its predecessor, shifting the setting to New York and pairing Bruce Willis‘ everyman hero John McClane with Samuel L. Jackson. That terrific dynamic alone set this violent romp apart.
