The limited series “Years & Years” is headed to HBO, and the official trailer is here.

The six-part miniseries stars Emma Thompson as a fiery politician, and she makes bold statements from the trailer’s start to its finish. Her first is the most inflammatory: She proposes that all British citizens should have to take an IQ test in order to vote. Meanwhile, the Lyons family watches on TV and reacts.

The series is described as “an epic saga that takes an ordinary family and catapults them through the next 15 years. As society changes, faster than ever, the Lyons will experience everything we hope for in the future, and everything we fear. They’ll fall in and out of love, and grow old, fall apart and come back together, while constantly looking forward.”

The trailer shows the family grappling with changes in the world around them.

“Things were okay a few years ago,” one character says. “Now, I don’t know what to worry about first.”

“I love it,” another character says later. “The whole system’s in pieces.”

    Watch below.

“Years & Years” debuts June 24 on HBO.

Life isn’t getting any less exciting for Gerard Butler‘s Secret Service agent character, Mike Banning.

It’s no easy feat — there’s an attempt on the president’s life early on in the trailer, and Banning is framed for the crime. He goes on the run as he tries to clear his name and unravel the plot.

“The president is not safe,” he says. “They’re trying to finish the job, and I’m not going to stop until I prove who did this.”

The Netflix drama “Beats” is due out in June, so the streamer has released a new trailer.

The preview shows an unlikely duo — a former music manager-turned-school security guard and South Side Chicago teen (Khalil Everage) with borderline agoraphobia. Their stories collide when the security guard (Anthony Anderson) goes to the teen’s house to talk about his attendance and hears him making music. As we see in the trailer, he realizes that the young hip-hop prodigy could be his way back into the music industry.

There are challenges along the way, of course. The trailer shows that the boy’s mother (Uzo Aduba) has her doubts about whether or not its helpful for the security guard to be pushing her son out of his comfort zone.

“My son was very happy before you started coming around here,” she says.

The film also stars Emayatzy Corinealdi and is directed by Chris Robinson.

With just one episode of “Game of Thrones” left, HBO has released the trailer for its upcoming documentary centered on the show.

Called “Game of Thrones: The Last Watch,” the two-hour documentary follows the making of the eighth season and goes along on the emotional ride with the cast and crew. It’s directed by filmmaker Jeanie Finlay, who was on set throughout Season 8 production. HBO calls the documentary “a farewell to Westeros with the people who built the realm.”

The preview shows glimpses of the cast, and it also highlights the hard work of all the people involved behind the scenes. We see people working when there’s barely light in the sky, in freezing conditions, and more. It’s certainly a unique window into the Seven Kingdoms, as you’ll see below.

The “Game of Thrones” series finale airs Sunday, May 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO. “The Last Watch” follows a week later, on Sunday, May 26, at the same time.

The official trailer for Netflix’s sci-fi thriller “I Am Mother” is here, and it pits Hilary Swank against a robot.

The film centers on a teenage girl (Clara Rugaard), who is being raised by a droid called Mother (voiced by Rose Byrne). She’s the first in a new generation of humans that Mother is creating to repopulate the earth following the extinction of humankind. However, the arrival of an injured stranger (Swank) causes Daughter to question everything.

Swank’s character isn’t happy to be in the presence of a droid, and neither is Mother pleased by the stranger’s appearance, as we see in the trailer. It’s left to Daughter to sort of who’s telling her the truth about the outside world. Watch below.

“I Am Mother” comes from director Grant Sputore and screenwriter Michael Lloyd Green. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January, and Deadline reported in February that Netflix had acquired North American rights.  The film will debut on the streamer on June 7.

The preview shows two of the girls, Allie (Kathryn Newton) and Cassandra (Rachel Keller), seemingly establishing order, but we see that not everyone is on board.

She’s putting these ideas in their heads,” a guy says at one point. “Now they made her queen.”

Another says something even more ominous: “We’re not going to ask for power; we’re going to take it.”
