  • These ‘Fuller House’ Season 2 Photos Will Get You in the Holiday Spirit

The second season of “Fuller House” is debuting in the middle of the holiday season, so it makes sense that the show will celebrate quite a few holidays throughout its run. Now, fans have their first look at some of the extended Fuller and Tanner clans’ many seasonal plans.

On Monday, the official “Fuller House” social media accounts debuted five new images from the upcoming season, featuring the cast celebrating Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. And it looks like the sophomore outing will be just as wacky — and sentimental — as the first season.

In the Halloween image, Kimmy (Andrea Barber) is dressed as Lucille Ball, while her ex Fernando (Juan Pablo Di Pace) plays the part of Lucy’s husband, Desi Arnaz. For Thanksgiving, fans of “Full House” will be happy to see some familiar faces from the original cast, with Danny (Bob Saget), Uncle Jesse (John Stamos), Aunt Becky (Lori Loughlin), and Uncle Joey (Dave Coulier) all present at the dinner table. The trio of guys later share a toast in the backyard (under the watchful eye of Joey’s puppet pal Mr. Woodchuck).

And finally, the Christmas photos prove that this is one big happy, unconventional, blended family, with matching pajamas, Santa hats, and lots of holiday cheer to go around. D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure) and her three boys (Michael Campion, Elias Harger, and twins Dashiell and Fox Messitt) are doing just fine thanks to the presence of Kimmy, Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and the rest of the gang.

“Fuller House” returns for season two on Netflix on December 9.

From travel nightmares to squabbling relatives to kitchen catastrophes, almost no one in the movies is able to stage a Thanksgiving that looks even remotely like a Rockwell painting or a Stewart magazine spread. So, if you need to feel better about your own thankless Thanksgiving, here are 11 terrible Turkey Days you can watch. Have a little schadenfreude with your candied yams.thanksgiving movies

Happy “Friends”-giving, y’all! Turkey Day was celebrated in a big way on the blockbuster NBC comedy. • Adele’s ‘Hello’ Saves Thanksgiving in Hilarious ‘SNL’ Sketch

adele, hello, thanksgiving, snl, saturday night liveAre you dreading spending your Thanksgiving having tense political discussions with your relatives? “Saturday Night Live” is here to help, with an assist from Adele.

In one of the best sketches of the season (maybe of the decade?), “SNL” revealed the key to resolving seemingly insurmountable family squabbles on Turkey Day: Just put on an Adele song. It turns out that everyone — yes, even your annoying relatives — loves the British songstress, and her new single “Hello” unites the fighting family depicted in this delightful digital short.

This being “SNL,” though, the cast and host Matthew McConaughey take things one step further, as they each begin to gradually morph into Adele herself. First comes a serious set of nails, then long, flowing locks, dramatic eye makeup, and a giant, fuzzy coat. Then, Aidy Bryant is sent straight to the “Hello” set, twirling in the ever-strengthening breeze as she bats away flying leaves and tries to keep her balance.

It’s a great gag, punctuated by the youngest member of the family (the brilliant little girl who turned on the music in the first place) facing the camera and offering her thanks to Adele. We don’t need it to be Thanksgiving to do that, but we will just the same: Thanks, Adele (and “SNL”), for saving Thanksgiving.
