  • Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston Dating Rumor Sends Internet Racing for Bad Puns

"Marvel's The Avengers" ..Loki (Tom Hiddleston)..Ph: Zade Rosenthal .. 2011 MVLFFLLC. TM & 2011 Marvel. All Rights Reserved. It didn’t take Taylor Swift long to Shake It Off with Calvin Harris.

He should’ve known she was trouble when she walked in.

She had a Blank Space and gave it to Tom Hiddleston, and now Taylor and Calvin have Bad Blood.

Taylor has not been Loki about her new relationship, with photographs showing her kissing the “Avengers” actor and possibly hooking up with him before she was even done with the last guy.

Because Everything Has Changed, and maybe that’s Mean, but it’s time for her to Begin Again with a new Love Story, and dating Loki is all of our Wildest Dreams, right?

64th Annual BMI Pop Awards - ShowTMZ claims Calvin Harris feels “betrayed,” and deleted not just his make-nice tweet from after he and Taylor broke up, but all of his Taylor photos. She has also removed him from her Instagram.

Whenever Taylor Swift ends a relationship it leads to breakup jokes, but the addition of Tom Hiddleston, most recently seen as a potential next Bond, has shaken and stirred fans to a greater extent than usual.

Hopefully Calvin Harris isn’t so mad that he pulls a “puny god” move on Tom Hiddleston, but … you know … it was kind of awesome the first time.

  • Taylor Swift May Cameo as Dazzler in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’

x-men, apocalypse, dazzler, taylor swift, cameo, x-men: apocalypse, sophie turner, tye sheridan, jean grey, cyclopsMutants like music, too, and one of the most famous singers in the “X-Men” orbit is Dazzler, who just so happens to be a mutant herself. Now, the musician is set to make a small cameo in “X-Men: Apocalypse,” and it seems that a real-life famous singer will be playing her.

Taylor Swift is the number one candidate for the job, after internet sleuths noticed a clue from actress Sophie Turner, who plays the young Jean Grey in the flick. Turner posted a new still from the film on her Twitter account, in which she and Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) are rifling through albums at a record store, and Cyclops discovers one from Dazzler.

Turner noted that the pair “found our favorite singer’s album (pre 1989, of course),” and, of course, as any pop music fan can tell you, that 1989 hint sure seems like a direct reference to Swift’s latest album. But could she really be playing Dazzler, or is this just some clever misdirection on Turner’s part?

The folks over at Collider actually pieced together this theory months ago, back in July of 2015, when “Apocalypse” was still in production in Montreal. Screenwriter and producer Simon Kinberg posted a photo of himself alongside cast members James McAvoy and Turner — and none other than Swift herself. At the time, it seemed like it may just be pure coincidence that Swift visited the set; now, with Turner’s clue, it seems all but a given that she’s in the flick.

It’s hard to tell anything from the photo itself, since the album sleeve is so small, but examine it for yourself above and see if you can detect any of Swift’s features. Keep your eye out for her on the big screen when “X-Men: Apocalypse” opens on May 27.

  • Taylor Swift & Idina Menzel Sang ‘Let It Go’ in ‘Frozen’ Costumes for Halloween

taylor swift, idina menzel, frozen, let it go, olaf, elsa, 1989Halloween got into the winter spirit this weekend when Taylor Swift brought Idina Menzel onstage on Saturday to sing “Frozen” smash “Let It Go,” complete with Olaf and Elsa costumes.

The moment happened during Swift’s Halloween concert in Tampa, Florida, where she performed her “1989” tune “Style” dressed as the animated flick’s goofy snowman. Shortly after, Menzel — decked out in an ice blue replica of Elsa’s signature gown — joined the songstress on stage to belt out part of “Let It Go.”

“Frozen totally happened tonight,” Swift later wrote on Instagram of the awesome, showstopping performance. “And 55,000 people sang ‘Let it Go’ so loudly, it nearly took my breath away.”

Swift is notorious for parading around her famous pals during her “1989” tour, but it makes sense that she’d want to incorporate “Frozen” in some way — after all, her album was huge, and so was “Frozen,” and there’s no doubt lots of overlap in each’s core audiences. Check out a quick video of the fun below.

  • Taylor Swift Just Won an Emmy; Is an EGOT Next?

2015 MTV Video Music Awards - ArrivalsAh, the EGOT — the elusive achievement bestowed upon only the greatest of entertainers, a.k.a. those who’ve won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony. It’s always a buzzword around awards season, as new contenders enter the ring every year, and now, arguably the biggest star on the planet has just begun her campaign for the honor.

Taylor Swift is the latest person on a quest for EGOT glory, after she won an Emmy in the creative arts category for her video, “Blank Space.” Here’s the details, according to The Hollywood Reporter:

Swift nabbed an Emmy for original interactive program for her AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience. The singer starred in and has an executive producer credit on the project, which debuted with the release of her “Blank Space” music video in 2014.

Shot with a 360-degree camera, the program allowed Swift fans to explore the sets of the elaborate Joseph Kahn-directed video for the second single off of her 1989 album.

Apparently, Swift herself was unaware of the honor, having been asleep when the award was announced. She said on Twitter that she didn’t know she’d nabbed the statuette until she saw THR’s own tweet about the news, and initially thought it was a prank. (Insert your own Taylor-Swift-“surprised”-face joke here.)

While Swift celebrates her newly-minted “Emmy winner” status — in addition to all her past Grammy wins — we’re already dreaming of the ways she can snag the last two trophies. Vulture suggests she can contribute an original song to the next “Mockingjay” soundtrack for Oscar contention, but we think Swift wouldn’t truly be satisfied with an Academy Award win for anything other than acting. (Again, insert a Taylor-Swift-“surprised”-face joke.)

Perhaps she can land a Jennifer Hudson-style part that will flex both her pipes and her acting muscles (and maybe originate the role in a Tony-winning Broadway production)? We’re sure Swift’s thought of this scenario a time or two in her wildest dreams, and we expect her to make an aggressive play for an EGOT.

2015 MTV Video Music Awards - Roaming Show The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards kicked off in Los Angeles Sunday night, with Ms. Miley Cyrus on hand to host the wild festivities.

  • See Taylor Swift & Lisa Kudrow Sing ‘Smelly Cat’ from ‘Friends’

taylor swift, lisa kudrow, smelly catLike any good millennial, it turns out that Friends” — so much so, in fact, that she invited star Lisa Kudrow on stage at her show in Los Angeles Wednesday night to sing a Phoebe Buffay classic.

Swift introduced Kudrow as if she was talking about Buffay herself, telling the crowd that the singer she was about to bring out had only ever performed in coffee shops. The songstress then unveiled Central Perk fave Buffay/Kudrow, and the twosome belted out a rendition of “Smelly Cat,” Phoebe’s famous ode to a feline with unfortunate body odor.

As if that in itself wasn’t enough fun, Kudrow also riffed on a memorable “Friends” scene she shared with Pretenders frontwoman Chrissie Hynde, in which she criticized the singer (playing a rival Central Perk performer) for her lackluster vocals on “Smelly Cat.” Kudrow and Swift replayed that bit, with the former encouraging the latter to “really feel the lyrics,” and Swift obliging with a raspy take on one of the verses.

It’s all (mostly) captured in the clip below, which is a bit shaky but still manages to give fans who weren’t there in person an impression of how the performance played out live.

Swift has taken a bit of gentle ribbing for her penchant for parading out her famous friends while on tour, but this is one “Friend” we’re glad she shared. And according to Kudrow, the feeling is mutual.

Maybe there’s room for Taylor on the big orange couch at the next “Friends” reunion?

  • Quiz: YA Movie Quote or Taylor Swift Lyric?

In recent years we’ve seen a slew of YA book adaptations hit the big screen, and several of them are actually pretty damn good. In that same time period we’ve also been #blessed with some of the catchiest pop songs ever, thanks to Taylor Swift and her sick beats.

To pay tribute to our love of YA movies and Queen Tay, we put together a quote vs. lyric quiz suitable only for true fans. Can you tell the difference between the two? Now’s your chance to prove it: guess if these lines are Tay-Tay or YA.

  • Aaron Paul Offers to Mediate Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj Feud With Peace Pancakes

Never fear, everybody, “Breaking Bad” alum jumping in with an offer of peace pancakes and coffee.

Long story short, Nicki and her fans were upset with her VMAs snub(s), and Nicki tweeted some shots that seemed like they were directed at Taylor Swift and “Bad Blood,” without ever mentioning Taylor’s name. The Hollywood Reporter documented the back and forth, but here’s part of the Nicki-Taylor exchange:

Nicki also retweeted several comments that did take direct jabs at Taylor:

Here’s the part where Aaron Paul comes in:

Do it — and film it! Seriously, though, can you imagine Jesse Pinkman mediating peace talks? He’d probably just shout “Stop being such a little b-tch!” in their faces and walk off. Bruno Mars was also inspired by the Twitter feud, but in a less helpful way — he just tried to start a fight with fellow VMAs nominee Ed Sheeran. None of this addresses Nicki’s or Taylor’s race, gender, image and validation concerns, but when you’re a celebrity and you get passive-aggressive on Twitter you deserve to be called out. But if they’re not up for it, Aaron, we’re 100 percent on board for that coffee and pancakes breakfast.
