  • Black Panther and Black Widow Face Off in Deleted ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Scene

Black Widow and Black Panther may have met their matches in each other.

USA Today released another deleted scene included on the “Captain America: Civil War” Blu-ray, and it features Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff questioning Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa. It takes place after a brutal battle among Cap (Chris Evans), the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), and Black Panther. The latter wants to take the Winter Soldier prisoner for the crime of blowing up his father and other world leaders.

The clip is a tantalizing bit of passive-aggressive bantering, with T’Challa asking, “You’re not used to the truth, are you?”
Natasha coolly reminds him that his vibranium suit puts him under the restrictions of the accord governing superheroes. But Black Panther shrugs this off. Seems the King of the Wakanda plays by his own rules.

The fun scene builds on the relationship between the two characters. Perhaps it’s an indication that Black Widow could pop up in the “Black Panther” movie, which opens in theaters Feb. 16, 2018.

  • Scarlett Johansson: Iron Man Is Real and He’s ‘Lovely’

Talk about friends in high places! One of the best parts about shooting “Iron Man 2” for Scarlett Johansson was meeting Elon Musk, the man behind the Space X and Tesla.

He’s known as the real life Iron Man due to his large pocketbook, his affinity for futuristic technology and his hope to do good things for society.

“I know him because we did ‘Iron Man 2’ together,” she told Stephen Colbert on “The Late Show” on Wednesday. “He had a moment in ‘Iron Man 2.’ He was there and let us use SpaceX, his facility, in Los Angeles, which was incredible.”

As luck would have it, Musk was Colbert’s guest after the actress.

Speaking of meeting Musk on the set of the superhero movie, Johansson said, “I was just fascinated by the man behind all of that, SpaceX and Tesla and Solar City and I asked if i could have a tour of SpaceX.”

The Los Angeles-based company designs, manufactures and launches advanced rockets and spacecraft. (Eat your heart out, Tony Stark.)

“I met him and he’s a lovely guy,” Johansson said, “and very, very interesting.”

Morgan Freeman is ready for action.

The actor, who recently appeared in “Ted 2” with Mark Wahlberg and “Lucy” with Scarlett Johansson, just signed on as one of the stars of the Focus Features project “Down To A Sunless Sea” and his company will be one of the producers, Deadline reports.

Though details of the script by David Gleeson (“Cowboys & Angels”) remain under wraps, the story is said to be similar in tone to “Air Force One,” the Harrison Ford-starring movie about hijackers who seize the plane carrying the American president, according to Deadline.

Freeman next will appear in “Momentum” with Olga Kurylenko this fall and has shot the remake of “Ben-Hur.”
