HBO has no plans to say goodbye to “Barry” anytime soon.

Less than two weeks after the acclaimed HBO comedy’s Season 2 premiere, the show has scored a Season 3 renewal. Amy Gravitt, executive vice president of HBO programming announced the news on Wednesday. HBO also celebrated the renewal on Twitter, writing in part, “The show must go on because it has literally been renewed.”

“Barry” Season 1 earned multiple honors, including three Emmy Awards. The series is now in the midst of its eight-episode second season, which premiered March 31. It centers on Barry (Bill Hader), a man trying to leave contract killing behind and make a career for himself as an actor. Hader’s co-stars include Henry Winkler, Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, and Anthony Carrigan.

“Barry” was created by Hader and Alec Berg, both of whom are executive producers. Aida Rodgers is a co-executive producer, Liz Saranoff is a consulting producer, and Emily Heller is a supervising producer. Julie Camino and Jason Kim are both producers, while co-producers are Duffy Boudrea and Amy Solomon.

Now that we’re assured of a third season of “Barry,” you can enjoy Season 2 without any worries on Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.

NBC is restocking “Superstore.” The sitcom has officially been renewed for Season 5.

The comedy is currently in the midst of its fourth season and will soon return from its midseason hiatus. “Superstore” boasts an ensemble cast that includes America Ferrera, Ben Feldman, Lauren Ash, Colton Dunn, Nichole Bloom, Nico Santos, and Mark McKinney. They play a group of employees at a big-box store. Now, their Cloud 9 adventures are slated to continue in the show’s fifth season.

Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, NBC’s co-presidents of scripted programming, shared glowing comments about the show. “Week after week, Justin Spitzer, our amazing writers, and cast and crew masterfully deliver a comedy that not only makes us laugh but speaks to the larger issues of the day,” they said in a statement, per TVLine.

The “Superstore” cast was understandably excited about the renewal. Many of the show’s stars tweeted about Season 5 soon after the news broke.

“Superstore” Season 4 returns from hiatus on Thursday, March 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Season 5 will likely premiere in fall 2019.

Never underestimate the power of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie.

“The Simpsons” continues to be the show that never ends. The long-running animated sitcom recently scored a two-season renewal from Fox. The network announced during a TCA event Wednesday that it had ordered Seasons 31 and 32.

The Matt Groening-created series debuted in December 1989 and has been going strong ever since. It is currently airing its 30th season and has produced more episodes than any other primetime scripted series in TV history. “The Simpsons” secured that record by topping “Gunsmoke” during Season 29 and continues to add to its total. By the end of Season 32, the number will reach 713 episodes.

The upcoming seasons will presumably continue to follow the lives of the hilarious Simpson family and those of their friends and fellow Springfield residents. We expect Season 31 to premiere in Fall 2019 and Season 32 to follow in Fall 2020.

  • ‘Empire’ Season 4: Fox Confirms More of the Hit Drama Is Coming

Like the rest of us, Fox wants more “Empire.”

The network has officially renewed the hit drama series for Season 4. The good news came from Fox Television Group Chairman CEO Gary Newman on Wednesday during a TCA event, Variety reports. Execs also revealed that we can look forward to 18 episodes when Season 4 arrives later this year.

A fourth season of “Empire” only makes sense. The show has proven popular among both TV viewers and critics. Not only has it been nominated for Grammys, Emmys, and Golden Globes over the course of its three years, the series has been averaging nearly 16 million total viewers across platforms this season — a number larger than any other Fox series. Cookie and the Lyons family drama have definitely earned a renewal.

Season 4, of course, is still a ways a way. The show is currently on mid-season hiatus and will return in March for the second half of Season 3 with stars Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard, Jussie Smollett, Bryshere Gray, and more. The next episode airs on March 22.

  • Showtime Officially Renews ‘Shameless’ for Season 8

“Shameless” never seemed to be in danger of cancellation this year, but fans will be relieved to know that the dramedy series has officially been renewed.

Showtime made it pretty clear that Season 8 was coming in Sunday night’s Season 7 finale, but the premium network removed any possible doubt Monday with the official announcement. Season 8 is slated to kick off production in May and premiere later in 2017. That means we’ll get another 12 episodes of hilarious missteps, conflict, and quirks.

The show will continue to star William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum, both of whom are getting raises, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Rossum, in particular, will be seeing a bigger paycheck — she got execs to agree to a deal that makes up for years of being paid less than her male co-star. Rossum and Macy have starred on the show since the beginning, playing two members of the large and dysfunctional Gallagher family.

The show’s seventh season brought in its highest ratings to date, so we’ll see if Season 8 can top them come 2017.

Poor Ioan Gruffudd had a strong reaction to the death of his show “Forever” after just one season. Gotta give it up to “Grey’s Anatomy” for lasting 12 seasons, and “Dancing With the Stars” will see its 21st season this fall. Impressive. It’s good to see “Galavant” returning, and hopefully it will pick up even more fans in Season 2. That one’s a keeper.
