  • Olivia Munn Had a Great Response to Chris Pratt Dating Rumors

Honestly, how many of us would just hope a Chris Pratt dating rumor came true? Olivia Munn showed she’s a true class act by shutting down the tabloid rumors with wit and solidarity.

Entertainment Tonight reported that Pratt and Munn had a “romantic” dinner together last Friday in West Hollywood. Apparently there were also tabloid rumors that suggested some kind of tension between Munn and Pratt’s now ex-wife Anna Faris. Well, that’s just not the mood in real life.

Munn is friendly with Faris, and made a point to deny the rumors. She dropped the mic via an Instagram story, and shared receipts from a text convo she had with Faris:

Nice. Olivia Munn previously dated Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, but they split last year and he’s dating Danica Patrick.

TOPSHOT-BRITAIN-ENTERTAINMENT-CINEMA-FILM-GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXMeanwhile, Chris Pratt and Anna Faris announced their separation in August, and Pratt recently filed for divorce. Faris has been seen out-and-about with her new boyfriend, a cinematographer she met while filming her new “Overboard” movie.

None of the stars are strangers to romance/cheating/tabloid rumors. It’s good to see they’ve found a way to shut things down in a positive way.

Olivia Munn stars in “The Predator” coming out August 3rd. Chris Pratt stars in both “Avengers: Infinity War,” out May 4, and “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,” out June 22. Anna Faris’ “Overboard” opens April 20.

  • Brett Ratner Accused of Sexual Misconduct: Olivia Munn, Natasha Henstridge Share Gross Stories

'Before The Flood' Special ScreeningSix women have come forward accusing “Rush Hour” and “X-Men: The Last Stand” director Brett Ratner of sexual harassment or misconduct.

The women spoke with the Los Angeles Times in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, which has emboldened more people — especially in the entertainment industry — to go public with their own experiences.

Actress Olivia Munn has had a few run-ins with Ratner. She told the L.A. Times that, when she was still an aspiring actress in 2004, she visited the set of his film “After the Sunset,” and was asked to drop off some food in Ratner’s trailer. She said she was told Ratner would not be there. Instead, she went inside, put the food down, and found Ratner inside. Munn tried to leave, but she said he asked her not to.

    Here’s more of her story:

“He walked out … with his belly sticking out, no pants on, shrimp cocktail in one hand and he was furiously masturbating in the other,” Munn said. “And before I literally could even figure out where to escape or where to look, he ejaculated.”

Munn said she let out a “startled scream” and raced out of the trailer. She said she immediately told the man who had asked her to deliver the food. His reaction? “It wasn’t a shock. It wasn’t surprise,” Munn recalled. “It was just, ‘Ugh, sorry about that.’”

Munn said she left the set and called her sister, Sara Potts, who urged her to speak with a lawyer. Potts confirmed Munn’s account.

The attorney dissuaded her from going up against a powerful director as a fledgling actress, so she did nothing.”

2017 MTV Video Music Awards - ArrivalsShe did write about what happened, with no names, in her book, “Suck It, Wonder Woman! The Misadventures of a Hollywood Geek.” Ratner later said, on “Attack of the Show,” that he had “banged” Munn a few times and forgot her. He later went on Howard Stern’s show to apologize, saying he had never slept with Munn. “I said I banged her three times, which wasn’t true.”

Munn also ran into Ratner at a CAA-hosted party, and he asked her “Why do you hate me?” She said it was more of a dislike.

Ratner grew angry, she said, and responded: “Why? I bought 10 of your magazines and came over all of them.”

Ratner’s lawyer, Martin Singer, said the director “has no recollection of making such a statement.” But others who were there at the party told the Times they heard it, or were immediately told about it.

BCBG - After Party - Fall 08 MBFWFor actress Natasha Henstridge, it was worse. When she was a 19-year-old model, Henstridge said she and a group of people went to watch a movie at Brett Ratner’s New York apartment. She fell asleep on the couch, and when she woke up she was alone with Ratner. Here’s more of her story:

“She got up to leave, Henstridge said, but he blocked the doorway with his body and wouldn’t budge. He began touching himself, she said, then forced her to perform oral sex.

“He strong-armed me in a real way. He physically forced himself on me,” she said. “At some point, I gave in and he did his thing.”

Henstridge never reported the incident to the police, but three other people in her personal life confirmed to the Times that she had told them the story.

Ratner’s attorney “categorically” disputed all of the accounts:

“I have represented Mr. Ratner for two decades, and no woman has ever made a claim against him for sexual misconduct or sexual harassment,” Singer said in a 10-page letter to The Times. “Furthermore, no woman has ever requested or received any financial settlement from my client.”

Gal Gadot was supposed to give Ratner the Jewish National Fund’s annual Tree of Life Award at a gala in Hollywood on Sunday. But as the L.A. Times was reporting for this new story, Gadot’s publicist said she would not appear at the event due to a scheduling conflict. Instead, “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins presented Ratner the award.

  • Olivia Munn: ‘It Cost Me Money’ to Have Cameo in ‘Ocean’s Eight’

How much would you pay to hang out with Cate Blanchett, Sarah Paulson, Sandra Bullock, and Rihanna? Olivia Munn isn’t really complaining to be down several bucks just to show up for a cameo in “Ocean’s Eight” … although she wouldn’t mind if the studio paid her back.

Olivia Munn told SiriusXM the “Ocean’s Eleven” sequel-spinoff features a scene set at New York City’s swanky Met Gala. That’s where you should be able to spot Munn’s cameo — and the glamorous look she was never reimbursed for.

“It actually cost me money to be part of ‘Ocean’s Eight.’ […] I remember, it’s a whole scene at the Met Ball and they’re like, ‘Oh, do your own glam.’ So I felt like, you know usually ‘Here’s the [receipts].’ I got the dress, all that, and then you submit the bills for it because, you know, I’m part of your movie. And they’re like, ‘Oh no, the bills come right back to you.’ ‘Oh! OK.’ I’m going on the press junket with them. As long as I can be hanging out with [the cast].”

She said she’s just as excited about the cast as anyone else. The film — led by Sandra Bullock as Danny Ocean’s estranged sister Debbie Ocean — also stars Mindy Kaling, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, and Awkafina. You can expect more Met cameos Kim Kardashian West, Kendall Jenner, Zayn Malik, model Hailey Baldwin, and Anna Wintour.

By the way, some fans think Olivia Munn still got a great deal, no matter how much she had to shell out for that glam look:

“Ocean’s Eight” will be released June 8, 2018.

Listen to Munn’s whole “Ocean’s Eight” talk in her clip below; she makes some good points about the film, beyond the whole money issue:

Office Christmas PartyAhh, your work holiday party. “Just a little get-together for the employees. Have a few drinks. Blow off a little steam,” Jason Bateman says in the trailer for “Office Christmas Party.” “Nothing crazy.” Ha!

Things definitely get crazy in this movie, which is jam-packed with Hollywood’s funniest stars: Bateman. Kate McKinnon. Jennifer Aniston. T.J. Miller. Olivia Munn. Vanessa Bayer. Rob Corddry. • Olivia Munn Explains Why She Said No to ‘Deadpool’

88th Annual Academy Awards - ArrivalsAt least has a valid reason for rejecting “Deadpool” in favor of “X-Men: Apocalypse,” even if Captain Hindsight might declare that a bad call.

Munn is on the new cover of American Way Magazine, talking about her role as sword-wielding telepathic mutant Psylocke in “Apocalypse,” which opens May 27. Munn said when she was offered Psyclocke, she was warned that there wouldn’t be much dialogue, but she’d have “an important presence” in the movie. Munn said that was OK as long as there was a fight sequence, ’cause she wanted in on that. “The fight scene,” told the magazine with a smile, “could be her monologue.”
However, she had been offered a role in a very different “X-Men” film, “Deadpool,” playing the girlfriend of ‘s Wade Wilson. That role eventually went to , ’cause Munn turned it down.

Why? She didn’t want to play “the girlfriend.” Not again. Not even this guy’s girlfriend:

That’s why she went for Psylocke instead, despite “Deadpool” going on to be a fan favorite and top R-rated movie around the world. “I thought Psylocke was always one of the most lethal characters, and I said, ‘Yes, as long as you’re not using her to be the eye candy. She has really powerful abilities.’ And they said, ‘Yes, that’s an important part.’”

So she took that role, and ended up on the cover of Entertainment Weekly in character. But months before the film came out, when she was talking to American Way, she sounded braced for disappointment. “You can do the first-look cover on Entertainment Weekly, but if they’ve chopped up some stuff or taken out moments and the fight scene is reduced for whatever reason, then the moment is gone.”

That was a while ago, and you have to hope that by now she’s seen the finished product and approves. She is featured in the trailers, but so are a dozen other characters. But good for her for taking a stand against more roles as “the girlfriend.” It’s good to draw the line, even if she might regret drawing it before such a hit movie. But she may never regret it at all, and that’s even better.

  • ‘Ride Along 2’ Trailer: Kevin Hart and Ice Cube Are Back to Catch the Bad Guys

Ride Along 2Ready to “Ride Along” with Kevin Hart and Ice Cube again? Then, buckle up!

The boys are back in the new trailer for “Ride Along 2,” the sequel to their hit buddy-cop comedy. This time around, Hart’s Ben has graduated from the police academy, and he’s partnered up with his soon-to-be brother-in-law, James (Cube).

They hit the road to Miami to track a fugitive criminal (Ken Jeong), and there, they have to team up with Olivia Munn’s detective to take down one of the city’s biggest drug dealers (Benjamin Bratt).
“Ride Along” was an out-of-nowhere mega-hit, raking in $153 million worldwide. The sequel looks like it hits all the same notes — Hart is bumbling and inexperienced, while Cube is foreboding and temperamental. The two play off of each other so well, and they’ve got great new ensemble members to add to the mix.

“Ride Along” opens in theaters January 15.

  • Listen to Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender in ‘The Big Lebowski’ Live Read

So you’ve probably heard that “X-Men: Apocalypse” stars Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Olivia Munn and friends did a Live Read of “The Big Lebowski” on Friday night during the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. But have you actually heard any of it? The photos online are great, but the audio really ties the room together.

Thankfully, someone posted a portion of the event online — you can’t see a blessed thing, but you can hear the portion of the reading right after Olivia Munn, who was meant to voice Tara Reid’s Bunny, steps on Jennifer Lawrence’s lines. Apparently Olivia’s script was highlighted with the Maude lines, even though that’s the part Jennifer was meant to read on stage. (It was Julianne Moore’s role in the movie.) In this 6-minute video, you can hear Jennifer mock-complain, “I’ve been waiting for three hours to get to my part, and now it’s happening, and it’s all falling to sh-t!” Jen’s voice comes through loud and clear; if only everyone were that clear. You can hear Patton Oswalt, who played Walter, joke about Michael Fassbender going “a little too Method” to play The Dude. MTV chronicled some of that Method smoking in their report from the show:

The cast was incredibly energetic and the crowd responded with endless cheers for Mike Judge’s spot on Sam Elliot impression, with a tiny touch of Hank Hill twang. So good. Fassbender carried the read with his charm and talent… continuously lighting ‘cigarettes’ on stage — fully engrossed in character, while Jennifer Lawrence sat quietly beside him rolling these stage cigarettes. Gotta love the Magneto and Mystique connection.”

Here are two photos from the show, just to give you a feel:

  • Is This Olivia Munn’s Psylocke Costume From ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’?

Samsung Launches The Galaxy S 6 and Galaxy S 6 Edge In Los Angeles
Just days after her “X-Men: Apocalypse” casting was revealed, Olivia Munn seems to have a big revelation herself: Her Psylocke costume.

The actress posted a photo of herself on Instagram, purportedly dressed as the telekinetic mutant, with the cheeky caption, “If the latex fits….”

    If the latex fits…

A photo posted by Olivia Munn (@oliviamunn) on

While it’s not a full shot of the entire ensemble, Cinema Blend notes that what we can see does coincide with Psylocke’s traditional leotard-based costume (and she’s also been known to wear gloves, too). Filming is set to start next month, and actors are apparently starting the costume testing process now; this look may see some changes before it hits the big screen, but it’s cool to get a peek at the work in progress (and have it to compare to Munn’s full mutant transformation in the finished flick).

“X-Men: Apocalypse” is due in theaters on May 27, 2016.
