  • ‘The Dressmaker’ Trailer Has Sexy Kate Winslet, Shirtless Liam Hemsworth

Everything about “The Dressmaker” — a revenge dramedy described as “Clint Eastwood’s Unforgiven with a sewing machine” — looks perfect. There’s gorgeous Kate Winslet in full glam mode as Tilly Dunnage, a beautiful misfit who returns to her middle-of-nowhere home in Australia after many years working as a dressmaker in Parisian fashion houses. There’s Liam Hemsworth, all shirtless perfection, as pure-hearted star footballer (and love interest) Teddy. There’s Judy Davis as Tilly’s ailing, eccentric mother. And wouldn’t you know it, there’s Hugo Weaving dressing in women’s clothes again.

“The Dressmaker” is based on the novel by Rosalie Ham, following Tilly as she transforms the locals with her fashions and, in the process, exacts revenge on those who once wrongly accused her of murder. Here’s the new international trailer from Universal Pictures Australia:

“The Dressmaker” will premiere in September at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival and it’s set for release October 22 in Australia. We’ll have to wait and see what the official U.S. date turns out to be.

  • Watch Kate Winslet Recreate Her ‘Titanic’ Pose With Bear Grylls

titanicSurvivalist Running Wild with Bear Grylls.” Thankfully for fans of “Titanic,” it happened to be a bit of dialogue from the Oscar-winning film — and Winslet gamely played along.

In a clip promoting the pair’s upcoming episode of “Running Wild,” we see Winslet perched on the side of a cliff in the Snowdonia Mountains range in Wales, clutching a rope and staring down at Grylls, who’s waiting at the bottom for the actress to descend. As Grylls urges Winslet to take her hands off of the wire, she lifts her arms and responds, “Jack! I feel like I’m flying!”

It’s a slightly altered version of a line “Titanic” fans know well, from the iconic scene on the prow of the titular ship when Leonardo DiCaprio‘s character, Jack, holds Winslet’s character, Rose, as she stretches her arms wide.

As we see in the “Running Wild” clip, Grylls responds in kind, asking Winslet a question from that same scene: “Do you trust me?”

“You jump, I jump, right?” the actress replies (another “Titanic” quip), before demanding that Grylls gets her “down off this f–king thing.” (Sadly, Rose never uttered that last line in the flick.)

Check out the fun exchange below. Winslet’s episode of “Running Wild with Bear Grylls” is set to air tonight (July 27) on NBC.

  • Michael Fassbender Is Gunning for Oscar in New ‘Steve Jobs’ Trailer

After watching the new trailer for “Steve Jobs,” Sony’s gonna be kicking themselves for letting this movie go to Universal.

The hotly-anticipated biopic, from director Danny Boyle and writer Aaron Sorkin, features Michael Fassbender in the titular role of the late Apple CEO. Here, he absolutely crushes the Sorkin-ese, going all-in for a Best Actor nod come awards season.

Sure, the film — which also stars Kate Winslet and Seth Rogen — has “Oscar Bait” written all over it. But attention must be paid to the scary-good quality filmmaking going on here.

“Steve Jobs” hits theaters October 9.

  • Shailene Woodley Is on the Run in Final ‘Insurgent’ Trailer (VIDEO)

InsurgentThings are heating up for Tris and her fellow outsiders in the latest and final trailer for “Insurgent.”

In this sequel to “Divergent,” Tris (Shailene Woodley) and her loverman Four (Theo James) are on the run from Jeanine Matthews (Kate Winslet), the head of the Erudite faction who’s willing to kill Tris, Four, and anyone else who threatens the status quo. In between all the running and jumping and shooting, Tris takes a sec to cut off her long locks. “I wanted something different,” she tells Four, and hey, who hasn’t felt that way once in a while?

In addition to Woodley, James, and Winslet, we also get a peek at Octavia Spencer as Johanna, Miles Teller as Peter, and Naomi Watts as Evelyn.

    “Insurgent” opens March 20.

  • ‘Insurgent’ Super Bowl Trailer: Shailene Woodley Takes on Kate Winslet (VIDEO)

    Insurgent
MTV has debuted a new trailer for “Insurgent” that features heroine Tris (Shailene Woodley) attempting to break free from the clutches of Jeanine (Kate Winslet).

Unfortunately for Tris, her prison appears to be all in her head, and when she lunges at her captor, everything around her (literally) shatters and she’s thrown into the void. A neat visual, it also serves as a metaphor for the entire “Divergent” series: Tris’s world will never be the same, and she’s currently adrift in uncertainty.

Check out the clip below, and catch it on TV during the Super Bowl on February 1.

“The Divergent Series: Insurgent” is due in theaters on March 20.

  • That Steve Jobs Biopic Finally Has a Cast

BRITAIN-ENTERTAINMENT-CINEMA-X-MENThe game of musical chairs that is the Steve Jobs biopic has finally come to an end (we think).

The Aaron Sorkin-penned project has seen several stars come and go (Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale), one high-profile director come and go (David Fincher), and even a studio come and go (Sony gave it up, now it’s being made by Universal). The quagmire of a movie became somewhat infamous due to the Sony email hack.

Well, now all is settled. “Steve Jobs” began filming this week, with these actors: Michael Fassbender as Jobs; Seth Rogen as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak; Jeff Daniels as former Apple CEO John Sculley; and Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman, former Macintosh marketing chief.

The movie is made up of three, long, real-time scenes, the last of which focuses on the 1998 launch of the iMac. At the least, that should prove to be colorful.
