  • Watch Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard Try to Fly With a ‘Service’ Dinosaur

The latest debate over an airline’s service and support animal policy involves some very recognizable passengers: Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.

The “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” stars teamed up with CollegeHumor to promote their upcoming film, and the result is an entertaining video that makes light of the trouble airlines have had with travelers trying to bring on interesting animals that may not truly provide service or support. In the sketch, an airline employee (Raphael Chestang) is checking in Owen (Pratt) and Claire (Dallas Howard) when he realizes that they intend to bring a velociraptor with them. The two try to make the case to him that the dinosaur is a service animal, but it’s understandably a hard sell.

Airlines have been having to change their policies in recent months to ensure that federal laws meant to protect passengers with disabilities are not abused. American Airlines, for example, announced additions this week to its list of animals that it won’t allow in the cabin as emotional support animals. Newly banned creatures include amphibians, goats, hedgehogs, insects, nonhousehold birds, and animals with tusks, horns, or hooves, according to The Chicago Tribune. (It’s worth nothing that there’s an exception for miniature horses that are trained service animals, so there’s still hope that you may see one on a flight one day.)

Watch Pratt and Dallas Howard hilariously try to argue that they’re not “just one of those bogus, a-hole couples” and that the velociraptor does provide emotional support.

“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” is due out June 22.

  • New ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ Poster Declares, ‘The Park Is Gone’

Destruction is the name of the game in upcoming “Jurassic World” sequel “Fallen Kingdom,” which is slated to hit theaters this summer. Before that, though, fans will be treated to at least one more trailer for the flick, which has been teased with a new poster that declares the park’s grim fate.

The striking one-sheet features imagery we’ve seen before, including Owen (Chris Pratt), Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard), and new character Franklin (Justice Smith) trying to take shelter from a giant dino in one of the park’s now-defunct glass globe rides. But the erupting volcano in the background has certainly grabbed our attention, since it’s that event that spurs much of the action in “Fallen World.”

According to the film’s official synopsis, that volcano threatens to once again cause an extinction event for the dinos that took over Isla Nublar at the end of the first film, something Claire very much wants to prevent. She’s recruited Owen to the cause, though rescuing dozens of dinosaurs from a remote island isn’t exactly an easy task. (Shocking, right?)

We’re likely to find out more intel from a new trailer that’s set to drop sometime on Wednesday. In the meantime, feel free to comb the poster for additional clues.

“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” roars into theaters on June 22.

  • ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ Video Has Dinosaurs Galore (and Jeff Goldblum)

Dinosaurs rule, humans drool in a new behind-the-scenes featurette for “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.”

The first full trailer for the sequel is expected to drop tomorrow, but in the meantime, feast on this video, which is packed with dinosaurs, explosions, and the first footage of Jeff Goldblum reprising his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm.

“We’re literally blowing up the island,” star Chris Pratt teases. He also gushes that Goldblum’s return is “pretty awesome.” It’s definitely a treat to see Malcolm’s smirk as he talks about dinosaurs again.

The most intriguing aspect of the featurette is the emphasis on animatronic dinosaurs. The first “Jurassic World” was knocked for relying too much on CGI, so it’s nice to see director Juan Antonio Bayona using real, “live” creatures that Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard can interact with.

More details about the movie have been trickling out recently, with trailer teases and Howard providing the first synopsis of the sequel. A volcano is about to erupt on Isla Nublar, threatening all the dinosaurs that have overrun the island. Howard’s Claire Dearing calls up Pratt’s dino handler Owen Grady to help save them.

“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” opens in theaters June 22.

  • We Now Have a ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ Plot Synopsis (Plus a New Trailer Tease)

The plot of upcoming “Jurassic World” sequel “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” has been kept more heavily guarded than a vault of dino DNA. Now, one of the film’s stars has finally revealed a few details about what audiences can expect from the hotly anticipated flick.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, actress Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays former park manager Claire Dearing in the series, says that she and Chris Pratt‘s character, raptor trainer Owen Grady, are teaming up once again. This time, rather than save their own skins, they’re trying to save all the dinosaurs who overran the park at the end of the last film from yet another extinction event after a volcano threatens to destroy the island. And, okay, yes, trying to prevent themselves from also getting killed in the process.

Here’s how Howard describes the situation to EW:

“Claire’s founded an organization, Dinosaur Protection Group, and they’re finding a way to get these dinosaurs off the island,” Howard says. “She reaches out to Owen Grady to let him know this is happening.” Hmm. “Reaches out”? It seems Howard and Pratt’s burgeoning relationship now falls under the heading of “It’s complicated.” “When you see them at the beginning of this story, you get caught up as to what’s going on,” Howard says. “But it’s not what you would necessarily expect.”

So that explains why Claire and Owen would return to Isla Nublar. (Well, kind of. We wouldn’t be so easily convinced to go back to a place teeming with prehistoric beasts that could kill us with one well-timed chomp or stampede, but that’s just us.) And that also helps sort out why they’d seek the guidance of Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum, who’s reprising his role from the first two flicks), who actually has seen firsthand how a T-rex can be transported to the mainland.

A new trailer tease shared by producer Colin Trevorrow offers a glimpse of a subdued dino, likely on its way off the island, along with the Chris Pratt declaration, “This is gonna be awesome.” We can only imagine. Check it out below (and re-watch the first trailer tease here). The full trailer will debut on Thursday.

“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” hits theaters on June 22, 2018.

  • Chris Pratt’s Seahawks Enthusiasm Really Angered Some NFL Fans

BRITAIN-ENTERTAINMENT-CINEMA-FILM-GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2The wrath of some NFL fans is directed at Chris Pratt — all because he had the audacity to be a loud and proud Seahawks fan.

Over the weekend, the actor returned to the state where he grew up to promote “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” and its upcoming trailer. He got to do that by participating in the Seattle Seahawks’ tradition of having a special fan raise a 12 flag ahead of kickoff in honor of the team’s supporters. As a die-hard himself, he was insanely excited, and that made some fans of other NFL teams really, really irritated. Their frustration was evident on Twitter, when people began to complain, suggest boycotts, and virtually shake their heads at him.

Of course, Seahawks fans felt very differently about Pratt’s presence at the game.

You can’t please everybody, so at least Pratt got to live his dream, which included seeing his team win and meeting Hall of Famer Walter Payton.

“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” is due out June 22.

  • ‘Jurassic World’ Sequel: Colin Trevorrow Shares New ‘Easter Eggs’

While many people were out searching for eggs on Easter, “Jurassic World” co-writer and director Colin Trevorrow had a very different kind on hand.

Trevorrow tweeted out a photo on Sunday of an incubator full of some of the upcoming sequel’s dinosaur eggs. Unfortunately, he didn’t offer any information to go with the image, and the plot of “Jurassic World 2” remains largely under wraps. All we can glean from the picture is that there could be at least seven more dinosaurs on the way, based on the number of eggs shown.

The latest movie in the dinosaur-centric franchise is currently filming, but Trevorrow opted not to return to direct. He did write the script, though, and the movie brings back stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and B. D. Wong, as well as introduces several new characters.

“Jurassic World 2” is expected to hit theaters in 2018.

  • First ‘Jurassic World 2’ Teaser Image Features a Lot of Bones

Jurassic World 2“Jurassic World 2” is full of skeletons — dinosaur skeletons.

Director J.A. Bayona has revealed the first image from the sequel, and it doesn’t show any living dinosaurs. Dead dinosaurs? Plenty of ’em.

A young girl is shown looking at a dinosaur skeleton head in some kind of museum. Could this be “Lucy,” a character mentioned in casting calls for “Jurassic World 2”? Does she have any connection to the characters from the first film? And is she in an exhibit on Isla Nublar or elsewhere?

Very few details are known about the sequel (it doesn’t even have a title yet). Bayona takes over from director Colin Trevorrow (who was still involved in the writing), and stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are returning.

“Jurassic World 2” is set to be released in theaters June 22, 2018.

  • James Cromwell Joins ‘Jurassic World 2’ Cast

Farm Sanctuary's 30th Anniversary Gala - ArrivalsVeteran actor James Cromwell has been tapped to join the cast of “Jurassic World 2.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cromwell will appear in the sequel alongside stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard and under the direction of J.A. Bayona (“A Monster Calls”).

Details of Cromwell’s character were not revealed, but it’s easy to picture him as a weary, but sage scientist or a righteous animal rights activist seeking to protect the InGen dinosaurs on Isla Nublar.

Cromwell is an animal rights activist in his real life; he’s a longtime vegan and has advocated against farm animal cruelty after starring in 1995’s “Babe.”

And Colin Trevorrow, who directed the first movie and co-wrote the sequel, previously said, “”The dinosaurs will be a parable of the treatment animals receive today: the abuse, medical experimentation, pets, having wild animals in zoos like prisons, the use the military has made of them, animals as weapons.”

“Jurassic World 2” is set to open in theaters June 22, 2018.
