  • John Krasinski Would ‘Love’ to Do the ‘Office’ Reboot (But Hasn’t Been Asked)

It looks like NBC has lost both The Office,” Krasinski also reported that he has yet to hear anything from the show’s producers.

The actor revealed that disappointing bit of news during a recent appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” When asked about the possibility of appearing in the new series — which would be a revival of sorts, featuring some of the original cast, but also move forward with a new boss and other new characters — Krasinski said he didn’t know much about it, mainly because he has not been asked to appear.

“I did hear that — on the internet,” Krasinksi joked when talk turned to the reboot. “Guess who didn’t get a call? Me. What does that say? NBC is like, ‘You know who we didn’t like? Jim.’”

All kidding aside, though, the actor said that he would gladly “suit up” again as Jim Halpert should NBC come calling.

“Would you do it?” DeGeneres asked.

“Oh my god, are you kidding?” Krasinski replied. “I’d love to get that gang back together.”

We’ll keep our fingers crossed. Stay tuned for more intel as it becomes available.

  • John Krasinski Wants to Do an ‘Office’ Reunion

58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards - Press RoomJim Halpert could be heading back to the small screen: John Krasinski says he’d definitely be down for a reunion of “The Office” someday.

In an interview with The Huffington Post, Krasinski was asked about his interest in participating in an “Office” reunion, and his immediate and enthusiastic response made it clear that the actor is 100 percent on board.

“I think if anybody had an idea of doing a reunion that made sense and sort of fit together, I’d do it in a heartbeat,” Krasinski told HuffPo, adding that he hoped his fellow cast members would feel the same.

The actor also discussed how the entire ensemble felt lucky to participate in the series, since for many of them, “that was the first big thing that we had ever done.” The chance to recapture that magic would be a boon for both the cast and the show’s loyal fan base. (Plus, any mention of Jim and Pam makes us swoon to this day.)

So how likely is an “Office” reunion to ever happen? While many of its stars have gone on to other high-profile projects in film and TV, and no doubt have insanely busy schedules, the recent revival craze certainly leaves the door open to a potential return one day, even if just for a one-off special. And as the “Gilmore Girls” revival proved, even superstars like Melissa McCarthy have time to squeeze in a quick cameo for the show that gave them their big break.

We’ll keep our fingers crossed that Steve Carell and co. can fit it in. (That’s what she said.)

  • John Krasinski and Emily Blunt Announce Birth of Second Child, Daughter Violet

"Alice Through The Looking Glass" Event At RosearkJohn Krasinski and Emily Blunt had an extra special reason to celebrate this past holiday weekend: The celebs recently welcomed their second child.

Krasinski took to Twitter on Monday to announce the news himself, tying in the date to the size of his growing family. The actor revealed that Blunt had given birth to a baby girl in late June.

“What better way to celebrate the 4th… than to announce our 4th family member!!!” Krasinski said on social media. “2 weeks ago we met our beautiful daughter Violet.”

Violet joins big sister Hazel, 2, who was born in February 2014. Blunt, 33, and Krasinski, 36, have been married since 2010, tying the knot in a ceremony in Italy after two years of dating.

The couple confirmed Blunt’s second pregnancy earlier this year, which coincided with filming on the actress’s latest project, “The Girl on the Train.” In an interview with C Magazine back in April, Blunt said that it was a bit tricky juggling the flick alongside her pregnancy, since the role was more physically demanding than she initially anticipated. And already having a toddler at home made her second time expecting a bit different.

“The first pregnancy is the most self-indulgent thing in the world because you get massages and prenatal yoga and hypnotherapy CDs,” Blunt explained to the magazine at the time. “During this one I forget that I’m even pregnant. I’m hoisting my 2-year-old around!”

Congrats to the new family of four.

  • Michael Bay’s ’13 Hours’ Brings Benghazi Attack to Big Screen

Explosions, gunfire and not a single Transformer is in sight in the trailer for director Michael Bay’s “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi,” which debuted Tuesday.

The forthcoming action-drama is based on the real-life attack on a U.S. compound on Sept. 11, 2012 in Benghazi, Libya that killed American Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and other Americans and plunged Hillary Clinton into a political crisis that has spilled into her presidential campaign.

In a series of raids by gunmen believed to be affiliated with Al Qaeda, four people were killed and 10 injured as a U.S. security team of six struggled to make sense of the chaos.

Pablo Schreiber, John Krasinski and Toby Stephens star in the movie, due in theaters Jan. 15, 2016.
