  • Isla Fisher Is Not Amy Adams, But Someone Still Needs to Tell Lady Gaga

Isla Fisher was not in “American Hustle.” She was not in “Enchanted.” She is not Amy Adams. OK, they were both in “Nocturnal Animals,” and that was confusing, but Not All Gingers Are the Same. (Not even Jessica Chastain and Bryce Dallas Howard, although … are we positive?)

Isla Fisher was just on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to promote her new book, and Kimmel said he was Googling her name, and saw that “Amy Adams” often pops up with it. He asked the Australian “Wedding Crashers” star if people often confuse her with the five-time Oscar nominee. Fisher answered:

“Yes, they do, and I usually correct them. Sometimes I don’t. A couple of times I can think of it’s been quite funny.”

Fisher said she was once at one of those fancy Hollywood parties, and she was all dressed up at the bar…

“The crowds parted and there was Lady Gaga, and she’s heading right toward me. And she said, ‘Thank you, your performance in ‘American Hustle,’ Amy, was [amazing].’ And I’m thinking ‘Oh my gosh, It’s Lady Gaga, I love her so much, I don’t want to tell her the truth.’ So I just gracefully thanked her, bowed my head. And then she wants to talk about the performance, and now I’m thinking, ‘I don’t want to be a liar.’ And then I look over her shoulder, and there’s Amy Adams walking into the party. So I’m like ‘There’s Isla Fisher.’ I said, ‘She’s not even nominated for anything, what’s she doing here?’”

Hahaha. Fisher added another quick “low point” story on the subject. She said she was at an IKEA with her newborn baby (one of her three with husband Sacha Baron Cohen), exhausted and just trying to take a breath in the corner when a woman and her two kids approached her. They were so excited to meet “Amy Adams” and asked her to sing a song from “Enchanted.” So she got out a few notes before they realized their mistake and backed away.

How much of those stories is really true and how much is exaggerated? Doesn’t really matter. Her “Kimmel” video is gold (or ginger?) and ends with a great PSA to make it clear that Isla Fisher is not Amy Adams:You may recall when Bryce Dallas Howard and Jessica Chastain promoted a (really catchy) PSA song that attempted to differentiate them. And Chris Pine’s “SNL” monologue included a song to help separate him from the other Chrises.

Some fans really have been living in ginger confusion all this time:

  • Isla Fisher Says ‘Wedding Crashers 2’ Is in the Works

wedding crashers, wedding crashers 2, sequel, isla fisher, vince vaughnIt’s been more than 10 years since “Wedding Crashers” hit theaters, with the 2005 Owen WilsonVince Vaughn comedy responsible for coining countless instant-classic catchphrases and becoming the gold standard of Frat Pack flicks. While a sequel has yet to materialize, one of the film’s stars is teasing that a follow-up could be in the works.

That scoop comes courtesy of Isla Fisher, who played Gloria, the wild child daughter of a wealthy family who catches Vaughn’s character’s eye while he’s crashing her sister’s wedding. While appearing on the Today Show, the actress spilled the beans that there could very well be a “Wedding Crashers 2” hitting theaters in the near future.

“I bumped into Vince Vaughn at a party and he said that apparently we’re going to be making a sequel,” Fisher told Today. “So I’m really excited to see what happened to Gloria.”

The actress did caution that the follow-up was far from a done deal, joking, “I shouldn’t really announce it on morning television.” Still, she left room for some hope, adding, “But apparently there’s some talk of it, which is fun.”

Fans will have to wait and see if studio New Line has anything to say about “Wedding Crashers 2” anytime soon. No excuses, guys: Greenlight like a champion.

  • Jon Hamm & Gal Gadot Are Sexy Spies in Hilarious ‘Keeping Up With the Joneses’ Trailer

Yes, Don Draper and Wonder Woman do make a super hot couple.

and Gal Gadot are two of the stars of “Keeping Up with the Joneses,” a comedy coming to theaters this October. They share top billing with the equally amazing and , and People shared a first look at all four stars in two new photos, just before the release of the first trailer.

Hamm and Gadot (above) play secret spies who move into a suburban neighborhood and befriend an ordinary couple, played by Galifianakis and Fisher. (Side note: Does Isla Fisher really qualify as an “ordinary” suburbanite?)

Here’s the great first trailer:'Keeping Up With the Joneses' (2016) Trailer

Producer Walter Parkes praised the foursome to People, saying they’re all funny in their own ways, and it helped that Hamm and Galifianakis have been good friends for many years. Anyone who has seen Jon Hamm on “Saturday Night Live” or “30 Rock” knows he has comedic chops, but Parkes said Israeli actress Gadot is one to watch as well:

“In some ways I find particularly for a non-originally U.S. speaker to be able to operate in comedies may be the hardest thing there is, and she was just so relaxed and precise and loose and never tried to play the joke but rather just play the reality of the scene and let the comedy come out organically. Just to literally have the verbal skills to be able to do that makes me think that there’s nothing this gal couldn’t do.”

Was that a play on “gal” there? Either way, Gal Gadot won us over back when she grilled Jimmy Kimmel about her breasts, even before stealing scenes as Wonder Woman. Her solo film comes out next year, but “Keeping Up with the Joneses” will be released October 21.

    %Slideshow-304993%
If “Wedding Crashers” had been a real wedding, we’d owe it a gift of tin or aluminum now, since those are the traditional 10th anniversary presents.

When the raunchy romantic comedy came out 10 years ago this week (on July 15, 2005), it proved a career highlight for stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, while pushing the careers of Isla Fisher and Bradley Cooper to the next level. In the decade since, some of the movie’s stars have flourished while others have had a more tumultuous ride. Here’s what’s happened to the whole “Wedding” party since the last slice of cake went into the freezer.
