  • ‘Big Brother 18’ Spoilers: Tiffany Evicted, Victor Returns

Will the houseguest evicted Thursday, July 21 on “Big Brother 18” be the same one to walk back into the house the next day?

UPDATE: Nope. Tiffany was evicted in a unanimous vote, 8-0-0, but Victor won the Battle Back comp Friday night. Tiff told him to trust Frank, not Day. Victor had said he’d target Paulie but then he said he’d be nice to everyone, so the least dramatic option may have won out. And now we’ll have to hear “your boy” from both Paul and Vic. Sigh.

    Original post:

The Big Brother Battle Back will air this Friday at 8 p.m. in a special extra episode on CBS. (Yes, three days a week is still not enough.) One of the first five evicted houseguests will return, which means either Glenn Garcia, Jozea Flores, Victor Arroyo, or Bronte D’Acquisto will battle against Tiffany Rousso or Da’Vonne Rogers. (Natalie Negrotti, you seem safe, even though it would be smart to break up the powerful showmances before it’s too late.)

Corey Brooks was put on the block, by Roadkill winner Tiffany, but he won the Power of Veto. We’ll see that in tonight’s (Wednesday) show. Tiffany replaced him with Da’Vonne, and that’s when the sparks really started to fly, since it’s now Tiff vs. Day in terms of who leaves next.

It seems like the house is leaning toward evicting Tiffany, but they leaned that way last week, too, and things changed at the last minute. A lot of HGs regret keeping Tiffany, since she knew it was just as an FU to Frank Eudy, who was supposed to be the target this week but ended up being safe under Head of Household Paulie Calafiore, because of the stupid teams twist. So Tiffany has blown up a lot of games, revealing alliances and forming at least a temporary alliance with Frank and Bridgette Dunning, whom she had just publicly called a “dictator” and his “Cabbage Patch Kid,” respectively.

Day has been exposed by a lot of what Tiffany has said, and there were people in the house (like Frank, and also Nicole) who had mentioned Da’Vonne’s name as a target even before this week. They may take her out now, since she has more influence in the house than Tiffany. Then again, HOH Paulie wants Tiffany gone, thinking they may not get another shot at taking her out. But Paulie doesn’t have a vote (unless there’s a tie) and the house may flip and flip back again before Thursday’s vote.

For drama’s sake, they may just have whoever leaves this week come right back. It wouldn’t be that dramatic if, say, Glenn returned, since we barely knew Glenn. But Tiffany or Day returning after being voted out would bring fireworks. We’ll see.

  • The International ‘Moana’ Trailer Is the Cutest Thing Ever

If you thought baby Dory was cute (and she was!) check out baby Moana in Disney’s adorable new “Moana” trailer, which also showcases some beautiful music.

This first international trailer shows our young princess bonding with the sea (the teen version is a skilled navigator) as a gentle song plays over their magical games.

    Here’s the trailer:Disney's 'Moana' (2016) International Trailer

Isn’t that lovely? “Moana” will include songs from Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina. (FYI, the name of the song in the trailer is “Loimata e Maligi” by Te Vaka.) The previous trailer was just a teaser focusing on Dwayne Johnson’s Maui as he tried to impress the teen Moana.

    Here’s the official synopsis:

“Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast South Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped – and no one today knows why. From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes ‘Moana,’ a sweeping, CG-animated adventure about a spirited teenager who sails out on a daring mission to prove herself a master wayfinder and fulfill her ancestors’ unfinished quest. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demi-god Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), and together, they traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous fiery creatures and impossible odds. Directed by the renowned filmmaking team of Ron Clements and John Musker (‘The Little Mermaid,’ ‘Aladdin,’ ‘The Princess & the Frog’), and produced by Osnat Shurer (‘Lifted,’ ‘One Man Band’), ‘Moana’ sails into U.S. theaters on Nov. 23, 2016.”

  • Leslie Jones Leaves Twitter in Tears After Attacks, Twitter CEO Responds

Premiere Of Sony Pictures' "Ghostbusters" - Arrivals

Oh, Twitter. You bring out the worst and best (but more often worst) in so many people. “Ghostbusters” star is not the first person to be attacked on Twitter, but she retweeted some of her disgusting racist and sexist messages — including ones from a fake account with her name — calling out for help to stop the cruel people who have come after her just because … why? They don’t like her new movie? They don’t personally find her attractive? Just because they can get away with being so awful and that’s reason enough?

There’s a lot more, but … ugh. The good news after all of Leslie’s personal attacks is that she got an outpouring of support from fans and colleagues, including her own hashtag .

Also, Leslie’s tweets reached Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, who reached out to her, and whose company release a statement on Tuesday:

Here’s Twitter’s statement, via a spokesperson to the Associated Press:

“This type of abusive behavior is not permitted on Twitter, and we’ve taken action on many of the accounts reported to us by both Leslie and others. We rely on people to report this type of behavior to us but we are continuing to invest heavily in improving our tools and enforcement systems to prevent this kind of abuse. We realize we still have a lot of work in front of us before Twitter is where it should be on how we handle these issues.”

Milo Yiannopoulos, described by the Los Angeles Times as a “conservative lightning rod,” was banned from Twitter on Tuesday after some of his negative tweets to Jones, and he got his own #FreeMilo hashtag from free speech advocates. (It’s pretty sad that so much of “free speech” is “hate speech.” “Kind speech” and “no speech” are also free, you know.) Hopefully Leslie returns to Twitter, instead of letting the trolls win, since there are more people who are on her side than against her.

  • See Norman Reedus Prank Sweaty, Sparkly Andrew Lincoln on ‘Walking Dead’ Set

AMC Celebrates The Season 5 Premiere Of "The Walking Dead" - Arrivals

Rick Grimes and Daryl Dixon appear to still be alive on “The Walking Dead,” although one episode in Season 7 may show the Ricktator morph into Glitter Grimes.

Norman Reedus is quite the jokester, and he and Andrew Lincoln are bromance buddies for life. Put the two together, add the Atlanta heat, and you get one cruel summer prank.

Here’s Reedus’s latest post, captioned “Glitter attack successful”:

    Glitter attack successful ????

A video posted by norman reedus (@bigbaldhead) on

“Have a nice ride home in the heat, bro.”

SAVAGE! Poor Andy. His car is a beautiful children’s party now, but it’s going to take some time to fix that A/C.

Entertainment Weekly has been following this “prank war,” and offered an update: “With his latest shenanigans, Reedus takes a commanding 3-0 lead over Lincoln in what has been described as a prank war between the two. Reedus previously snuck a novelty license plate onto Lincoln’s car without him noticing and filled his trailer full of chickens.”

Well, this is one way to keep Rick Grimes angry and frustrated as he prepares to deal with Negan in Season 7. We should get an official TWD Season 7 premiere date and maybe a full trailer this week out of San Diego Comic-Con.

In the meantime, you keep shinin’, Glitter Grimes.

  • Idris Elba Sings ‘Panda’ in a Chipmunk Voice and It’s Still Sexy

Here’s why would be the best choice as the next James Bond: 007 is smooth, charming, witty, badass, and cool in any circumstance, including when forced to sing like a Chipmunk. Watch these videos and report back if Idris does not fit the bill.

Idris was on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” last night, and he rocked two songs playing Box of Microphones, plus he showed off his best dance move — and it was WORTHY.

First, he had to sing “Panda” while the microphone changed his vocals to sound like one of the Chipmunks. He really went for it, and it came out … well, by his personal account it came out “awful,” but it was pretty great from here. After that, Idris and Jimmy slowed things down for a beautiful duet of “Endless Love,” complete with more random sound effects.

    Check it out:
Idris said people come up to him all the time now to challenge him to dance-offs, because he’s in Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’s “Dance Off.” He said he CAN dance, though, and showed off his favorite movie. The audience went nuts, as they should. He also shared some great stories about working as a DJ, including one where everything went wrong for three minutes of total silence: Idris was actually on the show to promote “Star Trek Beyond,” and he said he lost a few eyebrows making the movie, thanks to his extreme costume, which took 2.5 hours to get on and he had to wear it for 18 hours a day: Funny, self-deprecating, silly, sexy. Come on, now. The man is just perfect. Give him a martini and let’s go.

  • Kristen Bell Gives ‘Frozen’ Sequel Update, Then Gets Raunchy

It has been three years since no one has stopped singing “Let It Go,” and fans keep asking “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

So what’s the scoop on “Frozen 2”? Here’s the not-terribly-encouraging update from Kristen:

“We haven’t started recording. We’re just waiting to get our hands on the script. They take a lot of time over there to just perfect it, and it has to go through a lot of development to make sure that’s it’s exactly the story that needs to be told. I mean, I hope we start recording soon.”

Jimmy asked if she had to do any prep to get back into vocal character for Anna. Kristen said no, “it’s pretty much me,” and the lead stars all return to do voice work for Disney theme parks and other events, so they have kept their voices in shape in the wait:

And now, to go straight from PG to R, here’s Kristen weighing in on the NSFW, actually NSFMuchofAnything story her husband Dax Shepard told about his vasectomy, when he was last on Jimmy’s show. Apparently she was OK with him getting so personal. (They both embrace “embarrassing stories,” she said.) She even added details from her own perspective. Watch the original and then Kristen’s story:
Kristen was actually on the show to promote her new R-rated movie “Bad Moms” and her kids are not allowed to see it, for a pretty specific reason:

  • 5 Things You Need to Know Before Seeing ‘Star Trek Beyond’

We hope you’re ready to boldly go where lots of people have gone before, because “Star Trek Beyond” is about to hit theaters.

This latest sequel features a new adventure for Captain Kirk and the Enterprise crew, one that forces them to leave the confines of their ship and find themselves stranded on an alien planet — so think “The Martian” but with 100 percent more phasers.

Before you don your finest Federation attire and head to the theater, here are five things you need to know about the new crew’s third adventure.

    1. Director Justin Lin Is Changing Things Up
Paramount faced a bit of a crisis after director J.J. Abrams jumped ship from the “Star Trek” franchise to “Star Wars.” After some further turnover, the studio settled on “Fast Five” helmer Justin Lin (right). Based on the trailers, it seems the studio is hoping that Lin’s more action-packed, crowd-pleasing take will draw in general audiences. Luckily, early reviews suggest this approach worked.

And Lin, along with writers Simon Pegg (Scotty) and Doug Jung, have arguably made the funniest “Star Trek” film since 1986’s “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.” Trust us, we know — we’ve seen it!

    2. It’s More Like the Classic TV Series
As “Beyond” opens, Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) and his crew are three years through their five-year mission, and some mission drift is starting to settle in. The film involves an encounter with one of those new civilizations the Federation are always going on about. Basically, expect “Beyond” to play out like a longer, flashier and more expensive installment of the classic “Trek” TV series. That seems to be one of the main reasons behind the film’s critical success.

    3. You’re Gonna Meet Some New Aliens
When Idris Elba was cast as “Beyond’s” big bad, many assumed he’d be playing a Klingon. But the Klingons will continue to take a backseat in this rebooted universe. Instead, Elba is playing Krall, a ruthless commander of an army of Swarm ships who has little love for the Federation or Captain Kirk.

On the flip side, Sofia Boutella will appear as Jaylah, a warrior trapped on Krall’s planet who ultimately sides with Kirk’s stranded crew.

    4. RIP, U.S.S. Enterprise (2009 – 2016)
“Beyond” looks to buck the trend of most “Star Trek” films by taking place mostly planet-side rather than in the depths of space. Much of the conflict revolves around the Enterprise crew forced to abandon ship and take refuge on Krall’s deadly planet when Krall kills their ship.

The death of Enterprise occurs early in the film, and it’s too bad the crew of this ship hasn’t had a chance to really bond with the iconic vessel — outside of it being the thing that gets them from A to B. But for real Trek fans, seeing their favorite ship get, as Krall says, its throat cut, is still a body blow — especially since the last time Kirk and crew were in a Part III (“The Search for Spock“) the Enterprise also met an explosive end.

    5. There Will Be a New Enterprise
With the recent announcement of “Star Trek 4” bringing Kirk’s dad, Chris Hemsworth, back to the Final Frontier, the crew of the Enterprise will obviously return. Which means they will have to get a new ship. Look for their new ride — the Enterprise-A — to make an appearance before the end credits roll.

Both Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto are signed on for the fourth film, but the untimely death of Anton Yelchin makes the return of the character of Ensign Chekhov unlikely. Recent interviews with filmmakers indicate that the role will also not be recast.

While it will be sad to see a “Trek” without one of our favorite shipmates aboard, we can’t help but be excited to see Kirk and company explore more strange new worlds on the big screen.

“Star Trek Beyond” beams into theaters Friday.

  • ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’: 8 Things We Know About the Characters

One of the many, many reasons why people fall in love with “Star Wars” is the franchise’s deft delivery of complex, nuanced, and — for lack of a better word — completely badass characters. What would we have without Luke, Leia, Han, Rey, Chewbacca, Finn, and everyone else?

After hearing all about the new faces in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” we’re all but guaranteed a new ragtag bunch to completely obsess over.

Here’s everything we learned about the characters in “Rogue One” from this year’s Star Wars Celebration Europe panel.

    1. Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) is different from every other “Star Wars” hero, according to Jones herself. “We know where she’s come from, and that fact is what propels the story,” she revealed.
    2. Cassian (Diego Luna) works for the Rebellion and the only friend he has is an ex-Imperial droid he reprogrammed, named K-2SO.

    3. K-2SO (Alan Tudyk) is a brutally honest droid and is definitely different from (mostly) compliant droids we’re used to. “Cassian reprogrammed him, and did, like, a data wipe. When he reprogrammed him, he’s not quite all there. He speaks his mind and says things, I don’t know, that can be unsettling. He’s very honest. If you know any old people, he’s like that. He just says whatever he thinks,” Tudyk said.

    4. Bodhi (Riz Ahmed) is a pilot who starts out working for the Empire to earn a living, but doesn’t agree with everything they do. “People work at big organizations. They don’t agree with everything they do,” Ahmed joked after the big reveal.
    5. Chirrut (Donnie Yen) is a blind warrior from the planet Jedha. He believes in the Force and is probably the closest thing to a Jedi in the movie.

    6. Baze (Jiang Wen) has a really big gun. Like, really really big, according to Wen. He doesn’t believe in the Force at first, but after something devastating happens to him, he starts to believe.

    7. Saw Gerrera (Clone Wars.”

    8. Galen (Mads Mikkelsen) is Jyn’s father. That’s all you need to know about that (for now).

“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” hits theaters December 16, 2016.

  • 5 Things We Learned About ‘Rogue One’ at Star Wars Celebration Europe

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” doesn’t hit theaters until December, but thanks to Star Wars Celebration Europe, we’ve gathered a few tidbits to hold us over.

During the “Rogue One” panel, director Gareth Edwards, ILM Visual Effects Supervisor and CCO John Knoll, and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy shared some secrets about the highly anticipated movie — and we’re going to share them with you.

    1. The idea for “Rogue One” first popped up 13 years ago, during the filming of “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.”

    2. The planet of Scarif was filmed in the Maldives. They actually used Maldivian military as Stormtroopers during scenes, but most of them had never even heard of “Star Wars.”

    3. Darth Vader will be present — in all his glory — and he will utter the word “power” at some point, which is expected to send chills down audiences’ spines.

    4. While it was closed, the crew snuck into the Canary Wharf Tube station in London to film a scene. They wrapped up just before the Tube started running again.

“As we left, they opened the door and everyone wearing suits came in and we were like, morning, morning, morning, and we were desperate to tell them we shot ‘Star Wars,’” Edwards said.

    5. There’s a planet called Jedha, where a few of the characters are found. It’s pretty much a desert marketplace that is essentially a Mecca for those who believe in the Force.

“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” hits theaters December 16th, 2016.

  • 6 Things We Learned About ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ at Star Wars Celebration Europe

While we didn’t get an official title for “Star Wars: Episode VIII,” the powers that be did offer up a few choice details about the 2017 installment during the Future Filmmakers panel at this year’s Star Wars Celebration Europe.

Here are six things you should probably know about the highly anticipated next chapter of in the “Star Wars” saga.

    1. For the first time in “Star Wars” history, this movie will start right where the previous one left off. So get ready to see what went down between Luke (Mark Hamill) and Rey (Daisy Ridley) immediately after “The Force Awakens” ended.

    2. Writer-director Rian Johnson started production on “Episode VIII” while “The Force Awakens” was still being filmed. He only knew what was going on in the movie from dailies.

    3. To prepare for production, Johnson watched very specific movies. “12 O’clock High,” “Bridge on the River Kwai,” and “Three Outlaw Samurai” were just a few. He said “12 O’Clock High” is the one that influenced “Episode VIII” the most.

    4. “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” director Gareth Edwards makes a fun cameo in the movie.

    5. We’ll get to know Rey, Finn (John Boyega), Poe (Oscar Isaac), and the rest of the characters a little bit better. According to Johnson, “Episode VIII” will be “zooming in on the characters, challenging them, getting deeper.”

    6. Finn is (probably) not in a coma the whole time. (That’s a relief.)

“Star Wars: Episode VIII” is currently slated to hit theaters December 15, 2017.
