  • See Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc’s Emmys ‘Friends’ Reunion

No awards show would be complete without onetime castmates reuniting on the red carpet, and last night at the Emmys, two former “Friends” got together.

The Comeback,” LeBlanc for his leading role on “Episodes”) bumped into each other while doing interviews. As LeBlanc was chatting with “Entertainment Tonight,” he spotted Kudrow walking the red carpet, and beckoned her over to say hello.

The pair adorably complimented each other’s ensembles (LeBlanc protectively tried to button a button over Kudrow’s cleavage) and congratulated one another on their nominations, gleefully sharing in the other’s good fortune as only longtime pals can do. And the twosome revealed to “ET” that LeBlanc was actually the one to tell Kudrow she was up for an Emmy, after texting her his excitement when the nominations were revealed.

It’s a sweet moment, and one we’re glad we got to witness. Check it out for yourself below.

  • After Winning at the Emmys, Frances McDormand Is on EGOT Watch

67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards - Press RoomMove over, Taylor Swift — there’s a new contender for an EGOT in town.

Last night, actress Olive Kitteridge.” Her only previous Emmy nomination came in 1997, for her supporting role in the miniseries “Hidden in America.”

With that win, McDormand joined an ever-growing list of entertainers who have the chance the snag the illustrious title of EGOT (someone who’s won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony). In addition to that shiny new Emmy, McDormand already has an Oscar on her shelf (for 1996’s “Fargo“), as well as a Tony (for 2011’s “Good People”).

That means that McDormand is only a Grammy win away from EGOT status, and as HitFix notes, she’s in good company: Helen Mirren, Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons, Vanessa Redgrave, and Geoffrey Rush also need that “G” to join the EGOT club. Here’s hoping one (or all) of them makes it in soon.

  • Emmys Tribute Angers Viewers for Spoiling TV Show Endings

Spoiler alert: The Internet is outraged again! Last night, the “Mad Men,” “Boardwalk Empire,” and “Sons of Anarchy,” among others. Right on cue, viewers cried TMI at the spoiler footage.

Even Ellen DeGeneres got in on the act, joining the many famous and not famous names to lash out:

To be fair, there were also tribute defenders who argued that it’s not a “spoiler” once the series has already aired. As they noted, most of the TV shows in the clips have been over for months now, and you have to expect a show honoring TV series to show clips from those series.

Where do you stand on it? Did the Emmys make a boo boo for spoiling series that many viewers had yet to watch or was the burden on the audience to prepare for footage from shows they may not have seen?

  • ‘Game of Thrones’ Breaks Record With 12 Wins at 2015 Emmys

When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. “Game of Thrones” won the 2015 Emmy Awards. Everything else died. (Sorry you got Ned Stark-ed, “Mad Men.”)

“Game of Thrones” Season 5 ruled the pack last night, picking up 12 Emmys, which is the record for a series in one year. HBO bragged about the win in a media release, which also noted that it won 43 Primetime Emmys in total, the most of any network for the 14th year in a row. (Not that they’re counting.)

GoT was kind of a surprise win for Outstanding Drama Series, considering it was up against the end of “Mad Men,” and marked the second Emmy win for Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister). Even though GoT broke records with its 12 awards, it was actually nominated for 24 Emmys.

Here are the 12 Emmys GoT picked up:

Outstanding Drama Series; Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (Peter Dinklage); Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (David Nutter); Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series (David Benioff and D.B. Weiss); Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Contemporary or Fantasy Program (One Hour or More); Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series; Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series; Outstanding Makeup for a Single-Camera Series (Non-Prosthetic); Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series; Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (One Hour); Outstanding Special Visual Effects; and Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Drama Series, Limited Series or Movie.

Watch the GoT cast and crew’s acceptance speech for Outstanding Drama Series, presented by Tracy Morgan:

  • Emmys 2015: The 13 Most Memorable Moments

    %Slideshow-322250%
There were so many random, inexplicable things going on during Sunday night’s Emmys. Why was Bradley Whitford wearing a fedora? Why was Amy Poehler wearing a hoodie that looked like Pennsatucky’s from “Orange Is the New Black”? Did the HBO Now username and password that host Andy Samberg revealed to an audience of millions actually work? (Actually, yes, but only briefly.) Why was the orchestra playing the music from the movie “Ghostbusters”? (Was it because Ray Parker Jr. was in the house band?) Why was everyone wearing green ribbons? (Because climate change was the political mcause du jour.) And what happened during Mel Brooks’ choppily edited presentation? Did he swear or were producers furiously trimming the 89-year-old legend’s words in order to keep the show under three hours?

No doubt we’ll learn the answers to these burning questions in time. Meanwhile, we’ll be talking about these 13 moments from the 67th Emmys for a while, maybe even for ages yet to come, but almost certainly long after we learn the mysteries behind Whitford and Poehler’s head coverings.

  • Watch Viola Davis’ Powerful Emmys 2015 Speech After Historic Win

67th Primetime Emmy <em>“You cannot win an Emmy for roles that are simply not there.” </em></p>
<p>“How to Get Away With Murder,” marking her first Emmy win (also her first nomination) and the first win for an African-American woman in the lead drama actress category. Viola and fellow nominee “Empire” were the <a href=first African-Americans to be nominated in that category in the same year.

In accepting her award, Viola didn’t read from a script, but her speech seemed prepared for the historic moment:

‘In my mind I see a line, and over that line I see green fields and lovely flowers and beautiful white women with their arms stretched out to me over that line. But I can’t seem to get there nohow. I can’t seem to get over that line.’ That was Harriet Tubman in the 1800s. And let me tell you something, the only thing that separates women of color from anyone else is opportunity…”

She closed with shout-outs to her peers, including producer Shonda Rhimes and actresses Taraji, Kerry Washington, and Halle Berry. “Thank you for taking us over that line.”

Beautiful. Congrats, Viola! Here’s the full list of winners.

  • Emmys 2015: Andy Samberg’s HBO Now Password Actually Works, Try It

UPDATE: Well, HBO has either gotten wise or some joyless wonder went and changed the password on the rest of us. Either way, the username and password supplied by Andy Samberg doesn’t seem to be working any longer. Boo!

Well, thanks, HBO and Andy Samberg!

The host of the 2015 Emmy Awards had a little segment during the show where he offered up “his” HBO Now log-in, to give millions of viewers instant online access to the most nominated network. His username and password sounded so fake it was almost not worth seeing if they’d work — until fans online started noting that it did work.

So we followed the instructions and entered this username and password into HBO Now:

    Khaleesifan3@EmmyHost.com
    password1

Before “Andy,” the user name in the top right corner read “Thanks” and was later changed to “SAMBERG,” so don’t be surprised if it keeps changing. If you click on “Andy” — or whatever — it takes you to this page with his name and what was a “fakefakefake” e-mail address but is now apparently being changed (by fans?) every few minutes. Here’s how it looked around 9:30 p.m. ET on Emmys night:

However it looks, it gives you a free trial of HBO programming. So now fans are catching up on “Game of Thrones,” “Veep” and other shows they couldn’t afford to watch before:

Thank you, HBO and Andy! No idea how long this will last, so enjoy it while you can.
