  • Watch Eddie Redmayne Try to Get ‘Game of Thrones’ Spoilers out of Maisie Williams

Oscar winner “Game of Thrones” fans everywhere. When the actor was given the chance to embarrass his “Early Man” co-star Maisie Wiliams during “The Radio 1 Breakfast Show” on BBC Radio 1, he opted instead to try to get her to spill Season 8 spoilers.

As a guest on the show, Williams had agreed to participate in their Heart Rate Monitor Challenge, meaning host Nick Grimshaw got to interview her while she sat in a hospital bed, attached to — you guessed it — a heart rate monitor. Grimshaw then did his best to fluster Williams, enlisting the help of her boyfriend, Ollie Jackson, and her flatmate and “iBoy” co-star, Bill Milner. Their contributions both led Williams to share hilarious misadventures, but the real treat came at the end.

Grimshaw brought in Redmayne and asked the actor if he knew any “horrible stories” that would sent Williams’s pulse racing. Redmayne immediately declined to take that track and took a much better one.

“I don’t know about the horrible stories, because I thought, well, basically, it’s just about ‘Game of Thrones’ spoilers,” he said, making the day of all “Game of Thrones” fans listening.

Redmayne then jumped right into it, hypothesizing that Williams’s character, Arya Stark, will end up leading the Seven Kingdoms. He and Grimshaw did their best to analyze the actress’s response, but to be honest, they weren’t able to glean much from her changing heart rate. We did like Redmayne’s creativity, though — particularly when he suggested that Arya and Hot Pie (Ben Hawkey) will “get it on, become a thing, have kids, the full works.”

Watch below; Redmayne’s joins around the 6:18-mark.

“Game of Thrones” Season 8 premieres in 2019, while “Early Man” hits theaters Feb. 16.

  • ‘Fantastic Beasts’ Sequels Won’t All Have Newt Scamander as Main Character

    Fantastic Beasts
The wizarding world of J.K. Rowling is getting even deeper and more complicated!

The author herself tweeted some interesting tidbits about the upcoming “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” sequels, including the detail that the franchise would cover events over two decades. And now producer David Heyman has revealed even more intriguing info — like the fact that Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander won’t necessarily be the center of the following movies!

“I don’t think [Newt will be at] the heart of all of them,” Heyman told Cinema Blend. “I think he’ll be part — so will Tina, Queenie and Jacob — will be part of the next one.”

With the “Fantastic Beasts” franchise spanning two decades in time, through World War II, it makes sense that Newt wouldn’t always be the lead character (unless they use some amazing aging makeup on Redmayne). Instead, it looks like the additional movies will focus on some other, familiar characters.

And now, some spoilers ahead for the first movie — if you haven’t seen it, beware!

When asked if a young Dumbledore being cast, Heyman replied, “And Credence and Grindelwald. I think they will be the main players.”

Johnny Depp plays Gellart Grindelwald, who is locked up after the events of the first movie. And while Credence was presumably killed, a bit of his Obscurus magic seemed to have escaped. Perhaps it will follow Newt back to Europe and cause more havoc — and perhaps pull in one young Dumbledore.

  • ‘Fantastic Beasts’ Cast Teases ‘Epic’ Five-Film Series, J.K. Rowling’s Vision

If you were surprised to learn that the upcoming “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” trilogy would actually be a five-film series instead, you weren’t alone: the movie’s own cast didn’t know about that plan, either. But according to the stars, it makes perfect sense, especially considering screenwriter and “Harry Potter” mastermind J.K. Rowling’s sprawling vision for the story.

Eddie Redmayne and Katherine Waterston chatted about the flick at the EW PopFest this past weekend, and admitted their shock over learning that there would be four more films after the first flick hits theaters later this month. That kind of secrecy is par for the course, the actors said, though they understand why Rowling would want to spend more time in the Wizarding World.

“The thing is that it’s [Rowling’s] imagination,” Redmayne explained. “She has such a passion for it and a specific story that she wants to tell.”

And according to the actor, that story will extend far beyond the scope of what three films could do.

“I think ‘Fantastic Beasts’ the title and Newt and his creatures are a way into this world, but there’s a much bigger story here about good versus evil that she wants to tell, and you haven’t seen much of it in the trailers and the clips of the film,” Redmayne said. “But it’s really a core of the story that she’s telling and it has an epic, epic quality to it. … So I do see that [‘Fantastic Beasts’] is a macro story that could take more time.”

We’re definitely on board for whatever magic Rowling has in store. The first entry in the “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” series is set for release on November 18.

  • Watch Eddie Redmayne Perform Magic For Benedict Cumberbatch, Bryan Cranston

26th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala - After PartyEddie Redmayne doesn’t just play a wizard in the upcoming “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” — he can perform magic in real life, too!

In an appearance on “The Graham Norton Show,” the Oscar winner showed off his magical abilities to fellow guests Benedict Cumberbatch and Bryan Cranston. He takes an ordinary coloring book — which starts off with completely empty pages. Then, he asks Cranston (his fellow Oscar nominee last year) to blow on the book. Suddenly, it’s filled with drawings!
Oh, but Redmayne wasn’t done. Then, he asked Cumberbatch (his fellow Oscar nominee two years ago) to blow on the book. Guess the “Sherlock” and “Doctor Strange” star didn’t blow hard enough, because Redmayne was forced to take out his wand — and you’ll never believe what happened next!

The segment is totally adorable. We could watch these Oscar and Emmy winners behave like amazed kids all day.
