  • See Dwayne Johnson’s Bloody ‘Rampage’ Set Photo & Hilarious ‘Dodgeball’ Video

'Baywatch' Photo Call In Berlin“F*ck you, Jar Jar Binks!”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson spent Independence Day at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta, but the day before, he was hard at work getting #BloodiedAndBattered on the set of “Rampage.” And before that, he was hard at work getting hilariously ridiculous to support Ben Stiller’s “Dodgeball” charity campaign.

The “Rampage” movie, based on the 1986 video game, has been filming since the first week of May for its April 2018 release date. Johnson shared a set photo on July 3, to show off his (and the crew’s) hard work even during a long holiday weekend:

Back on May 2, to kick off the first day of production, Johnson posted the first photo and details about the film:

“In our story we have three animals who fall victim to evil genetic editing, rapidly changing every strand of their DNA so they grow, evolve and mutate. Everything becomes amplified.. their size, strength, speed, agility.. and violent aggression.
One of the animals infected – a rare Albino gorilla named, George, is my best friend.
George, is played by 6’9 Jason Liles, pictured here. Jason has been studying gorillas for months now preparing for this motion capture role. Gorillas movements, body language, and all emotions – joy, pain, sadness, love, aggression etc. It’s insane when you get around this man and how he’s able to embody a gorilla. This is the most fascinating advanced VFX/motion cap process I’ve ever worked with in my career.
We have the best mo-cap team in the world (WETA Digital) working on our RAMPAGE MONSTERS and you’ll get a taste of this new technology in the upcoming WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES as well as James Cameron’s AVATARS.
With all the cool advanced technology in our movie, the #1 thing you’re gonna experience when you watch it, is FUN.
Because when my best friend, George no happy, then me no happy. And when me no happy.. bad people become our lunch.”

“Rampage” also stars Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, Jake Lacy, Joe Manganiello, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. It’s scheduled for release April 20, 2018.

The Rock also spent part of his weekend showing off a pitch-perfect (but R-rated, for f-bombs) promo for Ben Stiller’s “Dodgeball” reunion project:

The Rock shared more “Dodgeball” related videos on his Insta, so check them out.

  • Ben Stiller & Vince Vaughn Need Your Help in Hilarious ‘Dodgeball’ Reunion Video

We had no idea how much we needed more “Dodgeball” in our lives until this wonderfully ridiculous reminder.

Ben Stiller revived his over-the-top gym fanatic White Goodman for an Omaze charity video, with a “surprise” appearance from rival Peter LaFleur (Vince Vaughn) and his Average Joe team members, Kate (Christine Taylor) and Justin (Justin Long). Before long, Goodman was joined by his Globo Gym team, including Me’Shell Jones (Jamal Duff) and Fran (Missi Pyle).

The whole 4-minute video is fantastic, filled with little in-jokes from the 2004 movie, but the overall point is to raise money for charity, with fans given two choices — Team Globo Gym or Team Average Joe’s — for the “charity dodgeball event of a lifetime.” If you head to the Omaze site, it lists the details, including that the event benefits The Stiller Foundation, whose mission is “to support children around the world by providing educational opportunities to help them realize their full potential.”

Watch the reunion video:Since they’re already suited-up, can’t we get that sequel now? Please?

  • Ben Stiller & Christine Taylor Separate After 17 Years of Marriage

'Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology' Costume Institute GalaGuys, raise an orange mocha frappuccino to one of our favorite Hollywood couples, Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor, who just announced they are splitting up after almost exactly 17 years of marriage.

The couple shared a joint statement to Entertainment Tonight:

“With tremendous love and respect for each other, and the 18 years we spent together as a couple, we have made the decision to separate. Our priority will continue to be raising our children as devoted parents and the closest of friends. We kindly ask that the media respect our privacy at this time.”

Ben Stiller, 51, and Christine Taylor, 45, were married in May 2000 in Hawaii and have two children, Ella, 15, and Quinlin, 11.

They met in 1999 filming the TV pilot “Heat Vision and Jack,” and went on to appear in several movies and TV series together, including the two “Zoolander” movies, “Tropic Thunder,” “Arrested Development,” and “Dodgeball.”

According to TMZ, their last public outing as a couple was at a Broadway opening last month in New York.

Since they have yet to officially file for divorce, we can hope that this break just shows them they want to give it another try. It has happened before! Either way, best to the both of them.

  • 16 ‘Zoolander’ Quotes to Add Fierceness to Your Everyday Life

Zoolander” is turning 15 — feel old yet?

Even though it’s been a while since the movie hit the theaters, we still find ourselves quoting in our daily lives followed by a spot-on “Blue Steel” look.

Here are 16 quotes from “Zoolander” that we love to throw around when the circumstance calls for it.

  • 15 Things You Never Knew About ‘Zoolander’

It’s been 15 years since the release of “Zoolander” (on September 28, 2001), but being really, really, ridiculously good-looking never goes out of style.

Ben Stiller‘s fashion industry satire remains a fan favorite (even if this year’s sequel “Zoolander 2” tarnished the brand a bit). As many times as you’ve watched David Bowie (RIP) referee that epic walk-off between Stiller’s Derek and Owen Wilson‘s Hansel, there’s a lot you may not know about “Zoolander.” So put on your best Blue Steel and read on for the behind-the-catwalk dish.
    1. The character of Derek Zoolander originated in 1996, when Stiller’s friend Drake Sather told him he wanted to cast him in a short satirical film about male models, commissioned for the VH1 Fashion Awards.

“I said, ‘That’s ridiculous,’” Stiller recalled in 2013, “and Drake said, ‘Yeah, that’s why I want you to do it.” The short was a hit, so Sather and Stiller made another one the following year. These gave Stiller the blueprint for the film. The character’s last name is a blend of Mark Vanderloo and Johnny Zander, both prominent models at the time.
    2. Stiller named “Zoolander” villain Mugatu after a white-haired, ape-like monster from the original “Star Trek” series. The tufts of curly white hair on Will Ferrell’s head are also inspired by the venomous creature.
    3. Ferrell won the antagonist role when frequent Stiller collaborator Andy Dick had a scheduling conflict, having been booked to star in a TV project that ultimately failed to materialize. Dick did have enough time for a cameo as Olga the hairdresser.

    4. Future “True Blood” and “The Legend of Tarzan” star Alexander Skarsgård made his American film debut as Meekus, one of Derek’s ill-fated, gasoline-spraying male model friends.
The Swedish actor was visiting his dad, actor Stellan Skarsgård, in Hollywood when he was offered the chance to audition for the bit part. He read with Stiller, won the role, got flown to New York (“Business class!” he marveled.), and shot the sequence. Returning to Sweden, he told his friends what a “piece of cake” Hollywood movie acting was. It took him a few thousand more failed auditions, he recalled while promoting “Tarzan” in June, to set him straight.

    5. Should moviegoers have known that Meekus and his ridiculously good-looking pals were doomed? The license plate on their Jeep reads, “RFK 575,” the same as on similarly fateful vehicles in the original “Final Destination” and “The Long Kiss Goodnight.”

    6. There were other future stars in “Zoolander.” One was Mark Ronson, playing a DJ years before he became famous for spinning platters in real life.
    7. Justin Theroux (above) was a little-known actor when he played a small role in “Zoolander” as the dreadlocked, breakdancing, evil DJ. (Yes, those are his own moves.) He’d later collaborate again with Stiller on the screenplays to “Tropic Thunder” and “Zoolander 2,” in which he’d reprise his evil DJ role.

    8. Mugatu’s homeless-themed “Derelicte” show was a spoof of a fashion line unveiled by John Galliano in 2000.
    9. Stiller had a Zoolander moment for real during the scene where David Duchovny explains the conspiracy. He asked, “Why male models?”, and after Duchovny’s lengthy explanation, Stiller forgot his next line, so he just asked, “Why male models?” again.
    10. In one scene, Wilson’s Hansel wears a jumpsuit with a name tag that reads, “Kumar.” This is supposedly an homage to actor Kumar Pallana, the Wes Anderson regular. Stiller and Wilson acted opposite him in Anderson’s “The Royal Tenenbaums,” released three months after “Zoolander.”

    11. “Zoolander” was one of the first films forced to make changes in the aftermath of 9/11, which occurred less than three weeks before the film’s scheduled release date. Aside from digitally editing out images of the Twin Towers, the filmmakers went ahead with the release as planned.

“I could never think of a reason that we shouldn’t release the movie at that time,” Stiller said in 2013, “other than it might not do that well, which to me wasn’t the right reason to not release it.”
    12. “Zoolander” cost a reported $28 million to make and earned back $45 million in North America and another $16 million abroad.
    13. The unflattering references to Malaysia got “Zoolander” banned in that country. Elsewhere in Asia, the references were changed to “Micronesia.”
    14. A surprise “Zoolander” fan is artsy director Terrence Malick. The “Tree of Life” director reportedly considers the comedy one of his favorite movies, and he even programmed it into a festival slate at the Philbrook Museum of Arts in Tulsa in 2013. Stiller learned of Malick’s fandom and recorded a special video greeting in character for the director’s birthday.
    15. It took a while for “Zoolander” to be appreciated as a cult hit, thanks to cable and home video. Stiller has said that’s why it took so long to get a sequel greenlit.

He first announced a follow-up in 2008, but it took until February of 2016 for the film to hit theaters. “Zoolander 2” was a critical and commercial dud, but that hasn’t stopped Stiller and Wilson from starring in “Zoolander: Super Model,” a cartoon that sees Derek and Hansel becoming superheroes. It debuted in August on Netflix in the U.K.; no word on whether we’ll ever get to see it here.

  • The 7 Funniest Movies You’ve (Probably) Never Seen

%Slideshow-373881%Long before he was cranking out reliable Oscar-season fare like “Silver Linings Playbook,” David O. Russell was a struggling indie writer-director with one squirmy comedy about incest (“Spanking the Monkey“) under his belt.

Then, 20 years ago this week, on March 22, 1996, he released the comedy “Flirting With Disaster,” starring Ben Stiller, and… crickets. (It would be another three years before “Three Kings” scored Russell his first mainstream hit.)

It’s too bad, since “Flirting” is a very funny film, marked by the breakneck pacing that Russell’s fans have come to appreciate. But let’s face it, not all comedies find their audience right away, and not all worthy comedies even become cult favorites later. Here are seven outrageously funny films worthy of rediscovery now.

  • Final ‘Zoolander 2’ Trailer Wants Everyone to Relax

Zoolander 2Relax, “Zoolander” fans — the final trailer for the comedy sequel is here, and it’s chock-full of all your favorites from the first movie.

The new spot opens with Justin Theroux’s evil DJ spinning Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s “Relax,” but Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) can’t relax because he’s got to solve the murders of beautiful celebrities — all while looking good, of course. Hansel (Owen Wilson) is there to help, when he’s not looking in a mirror.
The new trailer doesn’t have a ton of footage we haven’t seen in other clips, but it’s nice to see Theroux back for a cameo (he also co-wrote the script). And Will Ferrell’s zany Mugatu makes us laugh every damn time.

“Zoolander 2” also stars Penelope Cruz and Kristen Wiig, and features cameos by everyone from Kanye West to Justin Bieber to Katy Perry. It opens in theaters February 12.

  • The First ‘Zoolander 2’ Trailer Is So Hot Right Now

Magnum, baby! The first full “Zoolander 2” trailer is here, revealing Benedict Cumberbatch — sans eyebrows — as the new hottest male supermodel in the world. (No sh-t, Sherlock?) Justin Bieber and Penélope Cruz also co-star in the sequel to the 2001 cult classic.

A ridiculously good-looking “Zoolander 2″ teaser was released back in August, but now we see the full extent of the plot and characters. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson return as Derek Zoolander and Hansel (so hot right now. Hansel). In the 2016 sequel, the duo must go undercover to find out who is trying to kill the world’s most beautiful people, including Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Usher, Lenny Kravitz, and Miley Cyrus. (Apparently they just want to kill pop singers? Are we really mad?) All of the murdered celebs died doing Derek’s signature look.

The trailer also shows the wonderfully strange Benedict Cumberbatch rocking an androgynous Tilda Swinton look, plus Will Ferrell returning as Mugatu (still torturing Todd for his lattes), and Penelope Cruz as an Interpol agent. As Hansel put it, “She’s hot. I trust her.” Sound reasoning!

Watch the trailer, it is not lamé:

“Zoolander 2,” directed by Ben Stiller, is set for a February 12th, 2016 release. Schedule your orange mocha frappuccino viewing parties now.

  • RIP, Anne Meara: Stars Tweet Tributes, Ben Stiller Thanks Fans for ‘Kind Words’

Actress/comedy legend Anne Meara — who was also wife of Jerry Stiller and mother of Ben Stiller — died of undisclosed causes on Saturday, May 23. The Stiller family shared a statement with the Associated Press, calling Jerry Anne’s “husband and partner in life,” adding that “The two were married for 61 years and worked together almost as long. […] Anne’s memory lives on in the hearts of daughter Amy, son Ben, her grandchildren, her extended family and friends, and the millions she entertained as an actress, writer and comedienne.”

Some of those millions were her Hollywood peers, and they took to Twitter to react to the news of her death:

On Monday, May 25, Ben himself took to Twitter to share a simple thank you message, acknowledging all the love being sent to his mother:

  • Justin Bieber (So Hot Right Now) Joins ‘Zoolander 2’: See His Blue Steel Photo

FASHION-FRANCE-VALENTINOIt may seem too campy to have Justin Bieber join the cast of “Zoolander 2,” but this is Derek Zoolander we’re talking about, and he definitely seems like the kind of guy who would either bond with or be threatened by the Biebs. Maybe both.

It’s not clear if JB will have a cameo in the sequel or if he has a major role, but both the music superstar and Ben Stiller shared the same black-and-white staredown on Instagram. That’s some serious Blue Steel they are giving each other. Justin looks like a young Derek himself, and in his caption for the pic below, Justin was quick to hashtag that “#itsawignotmynewhair.” Maybe Justin plays a new model on the scene, like the new Hansel. Not that anyone could ever replace Hansel. Entertainment Weekly noted that several other stars are also expected to join original cast members Stiller, Owen Wilson, Christine Taylor, and Billy Zane, including Penelope Cruz, Olivia Munn, Kristen Wiig and maybe even Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.

What do you think about the Z2 scoop so far, including JB’s status? If you need help sorting through your emotions, you know what will help: Orange mocha frappuccino!
