  • Amy Schumer Had a Savage Response to Jennifer Lawrence’s Latest Breakup

    Jennifer Lawrence has been everywhere lately to promote “Red Sparrow.” Seriously. Check your closets, basement, garage — she might be in there, ready for another interview.

    Last night, she was on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” and addressed a bunch of topics — including her buddies the Kardashians, the rumor that she’s dating Brad Pitt, and her split from “mother!” director Darren Aronofsky.

    Lawrence is close friends with Amy Schumer, and JLaw was at Schumer’s recent wedding. On WWHL, Lawrence gave an update on the film they are working on together — they just had a table read two weeks ago; they now need a director, and a date. Andy Cohen said Bette Midler wants to play JLaw’s mom in the movie, even though the movie doesn’t have a mom role. Yet!

    Speaking of Amy Schumer, Lawrence told Andy Cohen that she talked to Schumer right after the her breakup with Aronofsky:

    “When Darren and I first broke up, and I told her, I was really sad. The next day I got a bouquet of flowers delivered and I was like, ‘What is this?’ I bring the bouquet of flowers in, and there was a note that says, ‘I’m so sorry to hear you’re gonna die alone. Love, Amy.’”

    Bwahahaha. Already a smug married after only a few weeks.

    Also on WWHL, she revealed she has all of her ex-boyfriends’ numbers still in her phone, except for the first one, since they didn’t even have cell phones at the time.

    She also reacted to the rumor that she was dating Brad Pitt. As rumors go, it could be worse — and she knew it:

    “No, I’ve met him once in like 2013, so it was very random. But, I also wasn’t like, in a huge hurry to debunk it.”

    Yeah, that’s the kind of rumor you can let survive as its own fan fiction.

    Over on “Ellen,” Jennifer Lawrence revealed who’s a better kisser — her “Hunger Games” franchise costar Liam Hemsworth, or her “Silver Linings Playbook,” “Serena,” “Joy,” and “American Hustle” costar Bradley Cooper. (She picked Coop, but she didn’t elaborate on why.)

  • Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer Want to Wear the Same Dress to the Golden Globes

    "Joy" New York Premiere - Inside ArrivalsJennifer Lawrence may be known for her clumsiness at awards shows and on red carpets, but this time, she’s hoping to commit a faux pas on purpose.

    The Oscar-winning actress revealed in a recent interview that she and her new BFF Amy Schumer both want to wear the same dress to the Golden Globes, and Lawrence is planning on asking fashion house Dior (of which she’s the face) to create two identical custom gowns for the stars.

    “We’re going to try to figure out to wear the exact same thing,” Lawrence told E!. “That’s my mission. I really want us to wear the same thing.”

    The stunt should be hilarious if the two actresses can pull it off, but it’s stemming from more than just a desire to be cheeky on the red carpet: Lawrence and Schumer are both nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy at the Globes, and are going head-to-head for the same prize. The surprise nod for Schumer (up for her performance in film debut “Trainwreck“) has inspired some (not-so-heated) competition between the pals, who both jokingly said in recent interviews that they were ending their friendship over it.

    “It’s really every woman for herself at this point, and I don’t want her to kind of get in my head, you know?” Schumer told Entertainment Weekly.

    Our fingers are crossed that this works out. After all, we’re suckers for funny red carpet gags.

  • Aziz Ansari, Amy Schumer, Jennifer Lawrence & Chris Pratt Are Our New #SquadGoals

    Variety's 5th Annual Power Of Comedy Presented By TBS Benefiting The Noreen Fraser Foundation - BackstageNo offense to Taylor Swift‘s gal (and guy) pals, but a new foursome is giving Swifty some fierce competition in the #squadgoals department.

    Aziz Ansari, Amy Schumer, Jennifer Lawrence, and Chris Pratt all hung out together this weekend in Atlanta, and to our great disappointment, we weren’t invited. But thanks to the power of social media, we can (digitally) join in on their fun.

    Ansari Parks and Rec” costar Pratt stands nearby, giving his best blue steel. The quick clip, entitled “hi guys” (we’re guessing because that’s what Ansari shouts as he swings back and forth), also has some major star power behind the scenes, according to Ansari: Lawrence directed, Schumer served as director of photography, and Ansari, Pratt, Schumer, and Schumer’s sister and writing partner, Kim Caramele, all hand a hand in the (alleged) script.

    Schumer also shared her own video of Ansari and Lawrence (who’s mentioned in the caption, but not seen) waking up Caramele, who doesn’t seem too thrilled. Does she not realize that that’s a New York Times bestselling author and an Oscar winner knocking down her door?

    The official explanation for why the foursome was together in the first place is a bit boring: Ansari and Schumer were in Atlanta performing at the Oddball Comedy Festival, and Lawrence — with whom Schumer is writing a comedy movie script — is in Atlanta shooting “Passengers” with Pratt. We’d like to imagine that the actors are all just such good BFFs that they hang out all the time regardless of location. Either way, we haven’t been this jealous of a hangout since Schumer and Lawrence had the best vacation ever and crashed a Billy Joel concert.

    Here’s hoping that all four of these funny folks find a way to work together again. Perhaps Ansari and Pratt can cameo in Schumer and Lawrence’s film? Fingers crossed.

  • See Amy Schumer & Jennifer Lawrence Join Billy Joel Onstage, Dance on His Piano

    Is Billy Joel the new Taylor Swift?

    Not to be outdone by Swifty, who’s been parading out famous pals left and right on her 1989 Tour, Joel invited both Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence onstage during his concert in Chicago on Thursday night. Naturally, as anything involving these two ladies is bound to be, the stunt was awesome.

    Schumer and Lawrence joined Joel for a performance of “Uptown Girl,” a tune that’s featured prominently in Schumer’s summer hit “Trainwreck.” Schumer, Lawrence, and some pals recreated part of a dance that Schumer does to the song in the flick, and then Schumer and Lawrence climbed up on top of Joel’s piano to freestyle dance to the tune.

    These newly-christened BFFs — who are writing a movie together, in case you haven’t heard — are having quite an awesome summer, what with vacationing together, and now crashing a concert together. Taylor Swift may have a squad to be envied, but we’d really love to join Schumer and Lawrence’s girl gang, too.

    Check out video of the performance below. (Side note: It appears the cameraman at the concert had no idea who Lawrence was, as the feed on the big screen stayed almost solely on Schumer the entire time. We appreciate J-Law dancing her heart out anyway.)
