  • Tina Fey Pitched a Liz Lemon and Leslie Knope Spinoff, and We Need it to Happen

Tina Fey may have just inadvertently pitched the greatest television show ever, merging two beloved NBC comedies starring badass female characters. Now if only someone could convince her to actually make it a reality.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight on the Tonys red carpet on Sunday night, where Fey was supporting her nominated adaptation of “Mean Girls,” she was asked about those never-ending rumors of a “30 Rock” reboot. Though the writer-actress admitted earlier this year that she had been mulling the idea, she also made it clear that such a revival was not currently in the works.

When the subject was broached again on Sunday, Fey said “we’re nowhere” with regards to news of a “30 Rock” reboot. But instead, she offered fans an even better suggestion.

“Amy’s willing to do a ‘Parks & Rec’ reboot,” Fey told ET of her longtime pal and frequent costar, Amy Poehler. “Maybe we should just do a Liz Lemon-Leslie Knope spinoff.”

Excuse us while we high five a million angels and eat some celebratory waffles.

Poehler sparked “Parks and Recreation” reboot rumors last month when she said she would definitely be on board for a revival sometime down the road. And seeing Leslie and Fey’s “30 Rock” heroine team up on their own show is quite possibly the best bit of fan fiction wish fulfillment we could ever hope for.

Obviously, Fey was just joking around, but if anyone can make this happen, and make it believable and hilarious and wonderful, it’s our favorite celebrity BFFs. We’ll keep our fingers crossed and light some Li’l Sebastian prayer candles.

  • ‘Parks and Recreation’ Cast Would Do a Revival, Says Amy Poehler

If you’ve been missing Pawnee, Indiana, since “Parks and Recreation” ended three years ago, take comfort in knowing that we might get to go back someday.

“The Ellen DeGeneres” show, and they got our hopes up, big time. When host DeGeneres brought up the idea of a “Parks and Rec” revival, Poehler barely let her get the question out before answering in the affirmative, saying, “Anytime.”

“I’ll speak for everybody and say we would all do it,” the comedian said. “I think we’d all do it someday. … It would be amazing.”

For his part, Offerman was a little less effusive, but then again, he doesn’t necessarily seem like the most demonstrative guy. He did say that Poehler is “the boss,” seemingly indicating that he’d follow her lead. He also tossed out the idea of Beyoncé joining as the mayor; that was probably a joke, but why not start with a big wish list and see what can happen?

Watch them discuss a revival below, starting around 2:20.

“The Ellen DeGeneres Show” airs weekdays.

  • Amy Poehler Is Directing a Netflix Comedy With the Best Cast Ever

Amy Poehler‘s latest project has us quoting the title of her bestselling memoir: Yes, please!

Saturday Night Live” alums), including Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, Paula Pell (a longtime “SNL” writer who also penned the screenplay to Poehler’s 2015 comedy “Sisters”), and Emily Spivey (a former “SNL” writer who created the short-lived NBC sitcom “Up All Night”).

And even more exciting still is the fact that none other than Poehler’s BFF (and our forever girl crush) Tina Fey will also make an appearance in the flick.

Okay, now that we’re done fangirling over its starry cast, let’s move on to what we know about the film itself: “Wine Country” tells the story of a group of “longtime friends who go to Napa for a weekend getaway to celebrate a 50th birthday,” per the official synopsis. Amy + Tina + “SNL” ladies + wine? We’ll say it again: Yes, please.

Netflix is already touting “Wine Country” as “Your new favorite movie,” and it’s hard to argue with that statement. Now we just have to wait for an official premiere date (and replay the above clip of the cast singing along to the Kenny Loggins and Stevie Nicks classic “Whenever I Call You ‘Friend’”).

What’s it like to have Will Ferrell as a boss?

Amy Poehler found out when she was recruited for “The House,” the comedy about a couple who turn their home into a casino. Ferrell served as one of the producers.

“This is how it went down,” Poehler tells Made in Hollywood reporter Patrick Stinson. “I get a call from Will in the middle of the night.”

“That’s the way I do business,” says Ferrell.

“He says meet me at the Waldorf Astoria in New York.”

    Farrell recalls,”Fly yourself — now!”

“I got my stuff together. My suitcase is popping open. And I get there, go over my lines, get in there, and he takes the script from me and rips it up and goes, ‘Forget about this.’”

  • ‘The House’ Trailer: Amy Poehler, Will Ferrell Find Unusual Way to Pay for College

Creative solutions aren’t always good ones.

That’s a big takeaway from the latest trailer for “The House.” Released by Roadshow Thursday, the preview showcases stars Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell, who play Kate and Scott, a married couple determined to send their daughter to the college of her dreams, even though they can’t afford it. With their neighbor Frank (Jason Mantzoukas) offering guidance, the two decide to run a gambling operation out of their basement. Of course, running an underground casino isn’t easy, and all sorts of crazy hijinks ensue.

The trailer demonstrates just how insane the situation quickly becomes. As the casino takes off, their daughter grows suspicious, law enforcement starts breathing down their necks, and a little intimidation takes a bloody turn. Not surprisingly, things get a little NSFW in the preview, so keep that in mind when you watch below.

“The House” is set to open in theaters on June 30.

  • Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler Run an Underground Casino in ‘The House’ Trailer

the house, trailer, will ferrell, amy poehler, jason mantzoukasWhat are parents to do when their daughter gets into a prestigious university, but they can’t afford to pay the tuition bill? Take out a student loan? Nah. They should open an underground casino instead.

That’s the premise of “The House,” starring Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler as Scott and Kate Johansen, who lose their daughter Alex’s (Ryan Simpkins) college fund. Desperate for a solution, the duo is approached by their neighbor, Frank (Jason Mantzoukas), who has the idea to open up an illegal casino in his house, promising they can earn four years’ worth of tuition in a month.

Of course, Scott and Kate get in way over their heads with the scheme, suddenly finding themselves running a fight night and strip club in addition to the casino (and accidentally chopping off part of a cheating patron’s hand). But it’s not all unwelcome chaos, either: Kate gets to wield a flame-thrower (Poehler has never looked more badass — or more delighted), and Scott clearly has a ball donning expensive Italian sunglasses indoors.

Can they keep up the business long enough to make enough cash for Alex’s college fund? Or will they get busted long before then? It seems that the latter is the likelier option, but it looks like it will be a hilarious ride either way.

“The House” hits theaters on June 30.
