Set aside the debate over whether Bert and Ernie are a gay couple for a moment; this is the Muppets thing you need to pay attention right now and possibly for the rest of time.

A Twitter user named Kevin T. Porter posted a mash-up trailer of the upcoming “A Star Is Born,” which replaces Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga with Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.

Porter, a writer and comedian, cheekily tweeted, “Wow ANOTHER remake?”

The video is a near shot-for-shot version of the “Star Is Born” trailer using footage from various Muppet movies. And it’s perfect.

It’s hard to pick the best part of the trailer. Fozzie Bear taking Dave Chappelle’s role? That clip of Miss Piggy flailing as Lady Gaga belts out “Watch as I dive in”? That the title is now “A Star Is Boar”?

Bradley Cooper‘s directorial debut, “A Star is Born” is wowing them at the Toronto International Film Festival, with critics predicting awards aplenty for him and costar Lady Gaga.

The movie doesn’t open until October  5, but in the meantime, savor these four new clips.

In the second clip, Ally (Gaga) makes up an impromptu song about country superstar Jackson Maine (Cooper) and sings it to him A cappella. He’s impressed, and so are we.

Clip #3 showcases a live performance from Jackson and some words of advice from Sam Elliott, who plays his older brother(!) and mentor-slash-manager.

In Clip #4, Jackson’s BFF Noodles (Dave Chappelle), a former musician who’s there to help Jackson out at a low point.

According to a recent poll of movie fans, “A Star is Born” is one of the most anticipated films this fall.

Expect it to do big box office, as well as be a major awards contender.

What — and who — are you most looking forward to watching on the big screen this fall?

Fandango posted the results of a survey, asking moviegoers about certain upcoming films, stars, and partnerships.

Harry Potter” fans pushed “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” to No. 1 on the “Most Anticipated Movies” list. Fans are also curious to see how Lady Gaga does acting opposite Bradley Cooper in “A Star Is Born.” And fans are eager to see Rami Malek as Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

It’s not clear how Fandango went about the polling, or how they came up with these options. They may have specifically suggested the five choices in each category and asked fans to pick one or rank the list. If they didn’t suggest anything, and fans came up with these choices on their own — or from much a much longer list of options — then it’s more impressive to make this cut than if these were the only choices.

  • Lady Gaga Confirmed for Bradley Cooper’s Directorial Debut, ‘A Star Is Born’

Put your paws up, Little Monsters, it’s official: Lady Gaga has booked the lead in “A Star Is Born,” opposite Bradley Cooper, who will co-star and make his directorial debut with the film. Gaga will compose and perform new music for the movie, which follows an ingenue singer whose star rises at the same time that her lover-mentor’s star falls.

Mother Monster was said to be circling the role back in June, but now Deadline has confirmation, saying Gaga was the star Cooper wanted … after things didn’t work out with Beyoncé.ENTERTAINMENT-US-FILM-PREMIER-WAR DOGSWarner Bros. President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production Greg Silverman said, in a statement to Deadline:

“For those of us lucky enough to watch him work as an actor and producer, it has been clear that Bradley would make this transition to director. We are honored that he is doing it, here, at his home—Warner Bros.—and with Lady Gaga as a collaborator and co-star. The world is in for a treat as these great artists craft an all new vision of ‘A Star is Born.’”

“All new vision” sounds like fans shouldn’t expect a repeat of the 1937 film, or the 1954 film, or the 1976 one.

Production is scheduled to begin early next year in California.

  • Lady Gaga May Star in ‘A Star Is Born’ Remake With Bradley Cooper

"Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology" Costume Institute Gala - ArrivalsLady Gaga is poised to make a major leap onto the big screen: The singer-actress is reportedly in talks to headline a remake of Hollywood classic “A Star Is Born.”

Both Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter confirm that Gaga is circling the high-profile project, in which she’d star opposite Bradley Cooper, who’s also making his feature directorial debut on the film. Rumors of their possible collaboration on the flick surfaced earlier this year when Gaga and Cooper were seen riding Cooper’s motorcycle together, prompting speculation that the singer was Cooper’s choice to take on the titular starlet’s role.

Now, it looks like studio Warner Bros. is also on board the Gaga train, with both Deadline and THR reporting that Gaga and Cooper recently tested for execs — and, according to Deadline, “the studio loved the results.” It seems it’s only a matter of time before Gaga formally joins the flick.

“A Star Is Born” first hit the big screen in 1937 with Janet Gaynor and Fredric March, who played a young aspiring actress on the road to fame and her alcoholic actor mentor, whose own once-stellar career is faltering. The drama was remade twice into musical versions: First in 1954, starring Judy Garland and James Mason, and again in 1976, starring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. Beyonce was at one time attached to star in a contemporary remake for director Clint Eastwood, but both eventually left the project.

It’s unclear if Cooper and Gaga’s version of “A Star Is Born” will take after the straight drama or its musical adaptations, but either way, it seems Gaga — like her soon-to-be-onscreen alter ego — is also primed for great things in film: Earlier this year, she took home a Golden Globe for her role in “American Horror Story: Hotel,” and was also nominated for an Oscar for co-writing the song “Til It Happens to You,” from documentary “The Hunting Ground.” Stay tuned for an official casting announcement.

  • Bradley Cooper in Talks to Direct ‘A Star is Born’

87th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals

Bradley Cooper is reportedly in serious talks with Warner Bros. to make his directorial debut with a remake of “A Star is Born.” His “American Sniper” boss Clint Eastwood was previously attached to direct with none other than pop superstar Beyoncé lined up as the female lead, but that fell through a few years ago. Will Warner Bros. be able to convince Queen Bey to give it another shot?

The original musical was a glossy David O. Selznick production from 1937, starring Janet Gaynor and Fredric March as an aspiring actress and her aging paramour. It was first remade in 1954 with Judy Garland and James Mason, and then remade/rebooted in 1976 with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson as rockers instead of actors.

Whether or not Cooper will also star is up in the air, as is whether or not WB will approach Beyoncé for the role once again. It would be fabulous to see her in such a legendary role, but she’s a busy Bey.
