The actual plotline for the season remains unknown for now, but if past seasons are anything to go by, it’ll once more see the clientele of a White Lotus resort (this time with Château de La Messardière in Saint-Tropez, France rumored as a main location) dealing with issues of wealth, privilege, dysfunction and, of course, probably a death or two.

While the reviews were decidedly mixed, the most recent ‘Scream’ outing –– this past February’s ‘Scream 7’, which saw original writer Kevin Williamson direct for the first time –– has defied expectations and surged to more than $200 million at the global box office, a record for the venerable horror thriller franchise.
Neve Campbell stars in Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group’s ‘Scream 7.’
Nothing is known about the new ‘Scream’ just yet. ‘Scream 7’ saw the return of Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott, who had to battle against more terror from a Ghost Face killer while also struggling to protect her family.
There’s a strong chance Sidney might return for the eighth film, and let’s not forget that Courteney Cox has played journalist Gale Weathers in every entry of the franchise.
When will ‘Scream 8’ be on screens?
Neither Spyglass nor regular studio Paramount has said anything about a release date for the new movie –– but we’d presume it’ll take a couple of years.

‘The X-Files’, originally created by Chris Carter, aired on Fox from 1993-2001 before being revived at the network for two more seasons in 2016 and 2018. It starred David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, who investigate cases that lean towards the paranormal and otherwise unusual.
Two movies were made based on the original show, but there’s no word yet on whether either Duchovny or Anderson will appear in any capacity. As for the new potential series’ logline? “Two highly decorated but vastly different FBI agents form an unlikely bond when they are assigned to a long-shuttered division devoted to cases involving unexplained phenomena.”
Deadwyler and Patel will be playing a new original characters –– we’re assuming at this point they’ll be the main agents.
Coogler is aboard to write and direct the pilot, but should the show go to series, ‘The Copenhagen Test’s Jennifer Yale will be overseeing it.
Coogler, an avowed fan of the supernatural, has spoken previously to Variety about his feelings for the show:
“Like my relationship with ‘Rocky’ with my dad, ‘The X-Files’ is one of those things with my mom. My mom means the world to me…so this is a big one for me. I want to do right by her and the fans. My mom has read some of the stuff I wrote for it. She’s fired up.”
Ryan Gosling will star for directing team Daniels’ latest.
The untitled sci-fi comedy will follow their Oscar-winning ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’.
Universal is backing the film.
UPDATE! Not so fast, we’re afraid. Variety reports that while Gosling was certainly in the midst of deal talks for the movie, that old problem of scheduling issues has reared its head, and he’s no longer involved. Boo!
Gosling will lead the ensemble cast for the mysterious new movie from the unique directors and producer Jonathan Wang, with Universal locking the filmmakers into a deal even before ‘Everything Everywhere’ secured its awards glory.

As with their previous film, Kwan and Scheinert are keeping their cards close to their chest. But the former did tell Collider that it’ll be: “fun sci-fi, action comedy with a big heart. Very existential. All those things that you would hope that one of our movies would be. One of the reasons why it’s taking so long is because what we’re feeling and what we’re hearing from the world is very complex and really nuanced, and there’s so much paradox. To kind of reconcile all those things and put them into one movie, it takes time.”
So… yes… We’ll have to wait and see what their inventive brains have spawned this time.
When will the Daniels’ new movie be in theaters?
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait forever: Universal has scheduled the movie for release on November 19, 2027.
In his long career, filmmaker Steven Spielberg has tackled a number of different genres, from thrillers to adventures and historical dramas.
Yet despite his long-held love of John Ford (as shown in the final moments of semi-autobiographical pic ‘The Fabelmans’), he has never brought us a full-on Western.
NasGyqg4hOiLkvLRrwYNS7
Speaking at a live taping of “The Big Picture” with Sean Fennessey at SXSW (as reported by The Playlist), Spielberg dropped word that he’s finally looking into one, revealing that he’s in development on what he calls a “kick ass” example of the genre.
That’s what we don’t know so far: Spielberg isn’t saying much yet. All he has really said is that it will sidestep stereotypes and tropes, but will still feature horses and guns in true Western style.
There’s also no word on who else might be working on this one, and it’s certainly too early for any casting announcements. But given how strongly Western influences have appeared through the director’s work, it’s certainly an appealing concept.
When will Steven Spielberg’s Western be in theaters?

There is no production timeline for this one yet, and the director tends to juggle several projects in development at once.

What’s the story of ‘The Punisher: One Last Kill’?

Co-written by Bernthal and filmmaker Reinaldo Marcus Green (who directs), the special’s storyline has yet to be officially confirmed, but there is a logline floating around: “As Frank Castle searches for meaning beyond revenge, an unexpected force pulls him back into the fight.”
So take that for what you will!
When will ‘The Punisher: One Last Kill’ head to Disney+?
We do at least have some official details on when the new special episode will land on Disney+ – May 12.

Bella Ramsey and Isabela Merced are among those returning. While the second season of post-apocalyptic video game adaptation ‘The Last of Us’ proved to be a more divisive run of episodes, it certainly still saw big viewership for HBO.
And trivia note: this actually marks Ritter’s second turn on the show: he previously had an uncredited role of a Clicker (the nickname for those infected with the mutated cordyceps fungus) on two episodes of Season 1, appearing alongside his wife, Melanie Lynskey.

Adapting the hugely successful Naughty Dog video game title, ‘The Last of Us’ takes place 20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed by a fungal outbreak that mutates its victims.
Joel, played by Pedro Pascal, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie (Bella Ramsey), a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal and heartbreaking journey as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.
Season 2, set five years after the events of the first, brought even more dramatic events into the lives of our heroes. And while Season 3 has yet to offer an official plotline, it’ll reportedly show several of the second season’s events from the perspective of Abby (Kaitlyn Dever).
When will ‘The Last of Us’ Season 3 be on screens?
HBO has yet to announce a date for the new season, though 2027 seems likely given the time needed to shoot and put the episodes through post-production.

Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell will star in ‘The Cackling of the Dodos’.

Following his star turn in thriller series ‘Black Rabbit’ (not to mention his long established relationship with the streamer via ‘Ozark’, Netflix is staying in the Jason Bateman business.
The actor has locked in his next directorial effort with the company, signing on to make ‘The Cackling of the Dodos’.

And the odd-sounding screwball crime comedy drama (more on the story below) will see Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell in the lead roles.
To be based on an original script by ‘Kingdomtide novelist Rye Curtis, ‘The Cackling of the Dodos’ follows George, small-town farmer who has a truly terrible day when he discovers a corpse chilling out in a grain bin and he is unwittingly forced into a chaotic, sloppy cover-up by his boss, Denny.
We’d assume Rockwell will be George, while Harrelson will take on Denny.
What else is Jason Bateman involved with?
Currently on screen in HBO series ‘DTF St. Louis’, Bateman is also attached to direct John Grisham adaptation ‘The Partner’ and is involved as filmmaker/producer to a variety of other projects, including a new take on ‘Clue’.

Netflix is no stranger to new takes on cult favorite movies –– witness ‘He’s All That’, the company’s 2021 take on the 1999 rom-com classic ‘She’s All That.’
Now, the streaming service is putting together the team for an even more direct reboot, an update of 2004 Jennifer Garner vehicle ‘13 Going on 30’.

The 2004 incarnation focused on Jenna Rink (Christa B. Allen), a 13-year-old girl who magically wakes up as her 30-year-old self and must navigate adulthood while rediscovering who she really is.
Garner played the grown-up version of the character, acting opposite the likes of Mark Ruffalo and Judy Greer.
Deadline’s report offers no details on how the new film might switch things up, if at all. But the new script comes from Hannah Marks with revisions by Flora Greeson.

“‘13 Going on 30’ is one of those rare, perfect films. Funny, emotional, deeply human, with unforgettable performances from Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo and Judy Greer. I’m a longtime fan, so stepping into this reimagining comes with tremendous responsibility.”
