Even freed from the need to revisit Peter Parker’s origin story, “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” somehow managed to be worse than its predecessor. The lousy villains are the most obvious example of where this movie failed, but the truth is that very little about it worked outside of the chemistry between stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.
