If there’s one thing we’ve learned about HBO’s “Game of Thrones” over the past five seasons, it’s that characters die. A lot. Good or evil, young or old, man or woman – no one is truly safe in the land of Westeros. 

We doubt that the series will lay off on the bloodshed in the upcoming sixth season. If anything, recent events promise even more death and suffering this year – especially with the series off-book, and forging its own course until George R.R. Martin can catch up with his novels. We’ve selected five characters that we think are mostly likely to die this season.
